Is there an event timer for the Storms of Winter meta event?[edit]

Or does it restart a set amount of time after the previous meta ends? --161.142.215.84 13:30, 20 November 2019 (UTC)

Still being verified but reports seem to indicate the meta preparation begins at Dusk, and Asgeir's Legacy closes at/after Dawn. Making it a bi-hourly meta on the same timer as Verdant Brink. Konig (talk) 18:15, 20 November 2019 (UTC)

Against/Disturbed by merging[edit]

Doing that is wrong. That area has two maps called both/shown as one called Bjora Marches. Players seeking for locations available during episode 1 don't want to be spoiled about the one of episode 2 and vice versa. It's just wrong for the two episodes pages to lead to a complete map. Locations should be at least be labelled on this page as available with episode 1 or 2. The last editor in history of the page is wrong about saying it's like dry top or silverwastes! You can't visit the whole map by feet, it's separated by a portal!--Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 14:40, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

The two parts are not separated by any portal, there are two open gates without any loading screens that allow to visit both part of the maps at will uninterrupted. Also, in API there is only one Bjora Marches. + in the West part you get notifications about the Storms of Winter meta as well. ~SimeUser Sime Maraca Choya.pngTalk 14:51, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
Ezrielia, there's only one map. World map shows one name, there's no zone portal between the two gates, and one entry in the API. I HIGHLY recommend you go through those tunnels again, because you are incorrect in saying they're separated by a portal. This is like when Dry Top and Silverwastes got released - Dry Top was released in three parts, and Silverwastes in four; Bjora is released in two. Konig (talk) 15:01, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
Of course I will check. No needs to instanly feels angry and putting caps. I'm not in a mood of being harassed / belittled by someone currently. I have enough of seeing free agressivity konig. Sive: ok will check in game--Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 15:10, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
You just missed the point, reread my comment. I'm speaking about what is part of episode 2, what is part of episode 1!! Even if there is no physical barrier, a part of the contznt is locked or not. Checked the map, you can pass through the previously closed gate, but I said they were separated because I thought there was a portal. --Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 15:15, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

Are we allowed to remove a discussion? This one is now useless :/ Please konig be nicer. --Inquest Overseer Ezrielia (talk) 15:33, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

(Edit conflict) I apologize if you felt my caps was angry or harassment. It was meant to stress the suggestion, nothing beyond that.
That said, nothing in the map is locked behind not owning Episode 1. You have full access to Bjora Marches map with or without Episode 1. It'll be a different matter if "West Bjora Marches" is locked behind not owning Episode 2, but that's not something we can check for another two months and all evidence suggests it won't be, so it'd be best to assume that, like Dry Top and Silverwastes which were released in similar incremental parts, if you have access to part of the map, you have access to the whole map.
Episode 1's story is locked by owning Episode 1, though, so there's that. It's unclear afaik whether the Episode 1 achievements are also locked (I find this hard to believe, outside story achievements, that they're locked behind specifically Episode 1 and not general map access). EDIT: No, discussions shouldn't be removed, even if they're resolved topics. Konig (talk) 15:35, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

Dolyak v. Ox[edit]

This page consistently refers to Dolyak as one of the Spirits of the Wild. However, as of 2/1/2020, the Spirit of the Wild referred to in-game is Ox. I will await confirmation before changing this information, in case Anet has made it clear they will switch to "Dolyak" in game. Waiting for verification GirlWritesWords * talk 19:30, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

According to Ox (Spirit of the Wild), Ox and Dolyak are the same spirit and the name is used interchangeably. However, we have the wiki article at Ox, so I agree that's what we should use except in cases of direct quotes where in-game text says "Dolyak." - Felix Omni 15:27, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
It should be noted that before a couple days ago, the article was at Dolyak hence why the links go there still (cleanup is required for a lot of Spirits of the Wild pages after a lengthy and, imo now pointless, discussion and move war). Prior to Bjora Marches, almost every reference to Ox/Dolyak was referring to it as Ox, except for the Hoelbrak Lost Spirits' shrine, which is why this article (and most others) had previously referred to it as Dolyak, since while there were "Ox" shrines, not much dialogue about it. Feedback 2020/02/05[edit]

Start time for old meta is wrong, I think. The repair hammers don't even appear until xx:45 and the shrines xx:50. A small thing but it would be good to update. --Jong1 (talk) 17:40, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

Oh, did they move the start times for all the eastern events? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 00:49, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
I believe they did, because there's no overlap between the two metas afaik - Storms of Winter starts either when Drakkar's timer ends, or shortly after. Konig (talk) 02:32, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
I do think it's on a fixed timer for hammers at xx:45. It doesn't seem to start soon after Drakkar is finished. But I wouldn't say I'm 100% sure, not done it enough since the change. (Storywise it doesn't even follow Drakkar; The east meta presumably happens first. Although I realise that might not affect Anet choices!) --Jong1 (talk) 10:07, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
Confirmed again today. Old/East Meta started at xx:45 exactly, later in the same hour as Drakkar (this is the timing for "hammers", not "shrines"). --Jong1 (talk) 15:12, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the clear responses, I've edited the timer as described. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 22:28, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

/Sleep[edit]

I just discovered that if you type /sleep in Bjora Marches you get the Give In achievement. I don't know where to put it in the wiki or if it's already on it. 80.42.227.73 22:28, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

It's stated on the Whisper in the Dark achievement page, see Whisper in the Dark (achievements)#achievement5039 and Whisper in the Dark (achievements)#cite note-1. --Tolkyria (talk) 23:09, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

Room west of Asgeir's Legacy[edit]

There's a small room west of Asgeir's Legacy that's accessible using a Raven portal from the Asgeir's. It has an exit portal that places the player footsteps away from the entrance portal, a high ceiling, and a giant, sealed door. There was a small group that explored the room and, as best as we could determine, this room isn't used. It wasn't used in Story, so is this for future content? The Real Voltaire (talk) 18:27, 15 February 2020 (UTC)

Feedback 2020/06/09[edit]

Interactive map no longer displaying mastery points. NOt sure if this is intentional or not.

Probably related to the problem with the API where the mastery points on https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/continents/1/floors/1/regions/1/maps/1343 look like
  "mastery_points": []
I.e. not only does someone at ArenaNet not know how to set the region properly (other maps have it set as region: 'Unknown'), but Bjora is completely blank since the release of the second half of the map. I will look into applying a bandaid fix since this has been broken for 6 months+. Now that I've seen the issue I don't know if we can hardcode it in this particular widget. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 06:09, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
Something must have broken in the past 4 or 5 days. Since it was working properly up to about 5 days ago. Thanks though.
