Shrine Guardian Infants, also called shrine guardian kits, are infants of shrine guardians which are powerful Canthan spirits that take the form of multi-tailed foxes. Though the kits are not strong enough to fully materialize in physical forms yet unlike their parents, they like to appear in ethereal fox forms, accompanied by yipping sounds and flickering light, in specific locations. They urge mortals to play various games with them such as hide-and-seek, logic puzzles, races, and smashing boxes. It is said that the infants' parents might reward mortals by revealing hidden treasure chests for keeping their kids entertained.[1] Finding and playing with shrine guardian infants is something of a hobby for some adventurous Canthans.[2]
