Researcher Vera is an asura member of the Durmand Priory found next to the entrance to the Fallen Masks adventure.

What has your research turned up?
- Two things. The Exalted magic is unlike anything we've encountered for generations. It has a singular purity that is astounding.
- And the other thing?
- More theory than proven fact, but we believe it's the purity of the magic that is causing this gilded appearance on everything in this area.
- So, it's not real gold?
- Absolutely not. Can you imagine how many ignorant thieves would come here to tear the city apart brick by brick if it were? On the other hand, it might keep the Mordrem busy. Perhaps...a slip?
