Looks like a Mesmer... but not quite... hmmm... seems interesting --User Phnzdvn sig.png Phnzdvn 02:07, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Better be a Mesmer... or else I'm using Visions of Regret on Anet. ;) --Spigs 00:11, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Has anyone noticed that this picture is no longer on the official website? It used to be under Wallpapers --212.139.194.137 15:01, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Never saw it under the wallpapers on the official site. And yet I had downloaded them all. So I'll guess you, sir, are mistaken. -Alarielle- 20:26, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

In-game[edit]

OMG! She's wearing THIS OUTFIT! ^_^ Hehe I can't believe I never noticed that! If you continue downward to where she's showing her leg, you can see from HERE that it is just like the dress... does this mean this outfit is... mesmer? ^^ --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 12:11, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Whooah DETAIL? Where in god's name did you find that? Celle<3talk

Purple[edit]

Definitely it's a mesmer. The elementalist's concept art was red, which is the color linked to the profession in GW1; and now we also know that some professions from GW1 will be carried ober to GW2. We have a purple image (and purple was linked to mesmers in GW1) of a character nearby butterflies (which were also linked to mesmers in GW1) wearing something similar to mesmer clothes from GW1. Erasculio 23:26, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Very true. Although there is a possibility that it could just be a different type of Profession that is taking over the Mesmer. But I'll just keep hoping this is a Mesmer. ;) --Spigs 00:11, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Exactly, Erasculio. However, I didn't know about purple being a color for mesmers, thanks for the info! ^^ I'm really hoping this will be a mesmer; if it isn't, it will most likely be something very similar. --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 01:14, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
I think he means that was the color of the profession icon and a majority of the skills, but I wouldn't go so far as to say DEFINITE.CelleyBear 13:35, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Oooh yeah! Lol I feel so stupid for not noticing. Wow, going by color, most of the professions seem quite easy to guess... the only one that stumps me is the one with the Mace, since she has the colors of the monk profession. --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 14:42, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
The professions in GW1 had a color linked to them; it's the color of the profession icon, of the skill icons, of most skill animations, of each profession's Divine Aura, and so on. Most of the GDC pictures about the professions have similar colors to the ones seen on GW1, with the exception being what looks like an assassin (who has a black background on the GDC image, but the assassins had a light purple color on GW1) and the woman with the mace (who has both the blue color and the birds usually linked to monks in GW1, making some people - including myself - believe it's some kind of Cleric). Erasculio 16:38, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Aren't fans also pretty Mesmer-ish? --Spigs 03:28, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

I can see a vague resemblance, but it's mostly just you. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 11:45, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
Methinks Logan isn't the only descendant of Gwen. Could be Gwen Jr. II. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 15:09, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
It would be quite cool with another descendant of Gwen and Keiran, but such a thing will probably not exist. Logan Thackeray will probably remain the only descendant. And sure there's a slight resemblance, but I agree with Kyoshi, it's mostly you. @ 93 16:41, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
Aside from being a mesmer and looking stuck up, I don't see a similarity. -- Konig/talk 22:03, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
Maybe Logan hassa sister. Unless this was mentioned? Zolann The IrreverentUser Zolann The Irreverent Mysterious Summoning Stone.png 22:47, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
Can't remember reading anything about Logan having a sister, but then again I'm not the most devoted follower.. But perhaps the artist that drew the image just got some inspiration from Gwen, as she is the most prominent mesmer in GW1. -- 93 | T | C | 06:54, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
Gwen is more prominent than the fat man who's the butt of every fat joke? By the gods! (and nothing gives the implication of Logan having a family, let alone a sister). -- Konig/talk 08:28, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
There's also no implication that he doesn't. However, given that no family has been mentioned at all, it's not just speculation to suggest this, it's mere guessing. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 20:20, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
There is a very strong suggestion that this is a mesmer or a new and improved version. I'm hoping for the second. and the fan is pretty mesmer-ish even though I never even seen a fan in GW1 The preceding unsigned comment was added by 150.101.115.34 (talkcontribs).
just so you get to see one IP there are fans in gw1 --AlbinoAce 09:43, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Also, keep in mind that the butterfly effect is a concept of "chaos theory"... chaos damage done by mesmers :) [1] -- Pixy | Talk User pixy hand.png 13:19, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

It would be very unlikely that Logan has no family. 250 years is about three generations, which means that there will probably be a dozen descendants. So, let's go with the assumption of 2.5 children per family. Gwen and Keiran have two children, who combined have five children, who then have a combined thirteen children. That's the low estimate, not accounting for people not having children or having many children (which is especially common, 2.5 children is a modern estimate, simpler times would be closer to 6 or 8). -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 16:40, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Edit: oh yeah, and it could easily be up to eleven generations. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 16:42, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Just saying, but its kind of Pink/Purple - and pink is sin, so they could of combined them?. :P Baby Char 21:04, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

seen this before[edit]

on File:2009 December human 02.jpg you'll see a woman in the same armor(I Think). (sorry for large pic!) --The Holy Dragons 17:05, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Changed the pic to a link for ya. Yeah, it's pretty much the same-ish armor. Though armor isn't really a determinate anymore, because it can be worn by any of three professions (except soldiers, which only have two). However, there will probably be armor that is more stylized to certain professions in addition to generic armor. Those armors seem to be the generic for the time frame GW2 is modeled from. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 17:17, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Also, as I had said above, the outfit is also seen here. :) --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 19:41, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps?[edit]

I came accross this and I wonder whether it's just someone getting to far ahead of themselves, but the Professions reveal claims that except for the weapons the class concept art matches near perfect to their 'Adaptable' pictures. So could this class (thats probably a mesmer) belong standing next to the warrior? --User Magican Signature Empathy.jpg Magican talk 08:37, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, seems like they make concepts that almost fit in the silhouette to let people get started with crazy speculation. This is, however , common sense speculation because the Mesmer is already mentioned in the GW2 novel, and many people did notice that the shadowy triangle, held on the left side of the unrevealed profession picture you mentioned, shares some resemblance with the Mesmer Fan. To me all these info are enough to confirm one of the next profession reveals. CaiusTheBig User talk:Caiusthebig 08:57, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

It's just photoshoped, don't get too excited. The actual silhuette hands are in a different pose and it has a sword unlike the purplefan figure --Majere User Majere II sig.jpg 10:13, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Yes, i wasn t too excited because as a pure pve player in the first GW i didn't love the mesmer class too much :D However you must keep in mind that that purple fan picture has never been confirmed to be a concept art for class (and in addition consider that each class got multiple concept art images); so, given there s a Mesmer class, it could also get a different concept art. CaiusTheBig User talk:Caiusthebig 11:04, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Obviously it's photoshoped and fan made, I'm not excited for it because of this, but the concpet art does fit rather closely. But the more I look at it and compare these two images:Professions reveal detail 6 to GDC 2010 purplefan, I see both a relationship and a difference; I origionally posted the first message to see what other people thought about it, but I now think it is probably wishful thinking and a crazy coincidence that the two figures are so similar. On the other hand I would be lying if I wasn't hoping for a mesmer. --User Magican Signature Empathy.jpg Magican talk 08:38, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
Well, the GDC images are not going for resembling the silhouettes but rather the art they reveal with the profession that says the name. On this same note, there is still some hope of the silhouette being the mesmer and this (with slight diffrences) being the name art. (sorry if someone mentioned this, I am commenting with only skimming the above comments). Zungx 14:25, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
