An invisible field prevents you from sitting in the council member's chair.
Talk end option tango.png It must only allow a specific individual.
When attempting to sit on Knut Whitebear's throne
(If norn)
In case your eyes are failing you, this fine chair is already occupied, Slayer.
(Otherwise)
In case your eyes are failing you, this fine chair is already occupied, stranger.
Talk end option tango.png It would be rude to force the issue.
When attempting to sit on Queen Jennah's throne
Queen Jennah gives you a stern look as you approach the throne. You notice Anise subtly shake her head.
Talk end option tango.png Better not.
When attempting to sit on Smodur the Unflinching's throne
Smodur the Unflinching doesn't move as you approach his chair, but you feel his eyes[sic] on you. The guards start reaching for their rifles.
Talk end option tango.png This seems like a bad idea.

Notes[edit]

  • Players that completed the achievement prior to the introduction of the novelty chair as a reward can purchase one for Copper coin from Sarettokk.
  • There are more than 1,400 chairs available for sitting, scattered around all main cities and home instances. Several craftable chairs for guild halls also work for this achievement.
  • Sittable chairs can be recognised by hovering your cursor over them; the cursor will become a cog.
  • As the above dialogue implies, you may not actually sit upon a Ruler's Throne, but you will still receive credit for attempting. The Pale Tree doesn't have a throne.
  • You can stop sitting on a chair by using  Dismount.png Dismount. Sitting on most stools will grant two further skills:  Turn Left.png Rotate Left and  Turn Right.png Rotate Right, which will rotate the direction your character faces by 90°. Sitting on benches that support multiple players will grant  Switch Seats.png Switch Seats.
