Watchful Moon is a kodan born in the Frostgorge Sound. His wife, Sunlight's Tears, died during their exile. Before arriving at the Lost Child's Sorrow camp, his name was Laughs at the Dawn but he changed it due to his deep depression.

Sunlight's Tears. The mother of my cubs bore that name. She didn't survive our trek from the north. Maybe, here, I can find her still.

Where did you come from?

I was born and raised in the Frostgorge Sound, on the cold north ocean. By Koda's will, we migrated south, but no longer I feel joy in Koda's call.

Who is Koda?

Koda is the primal spirit who guides all kodan. His representatives, the Claw and the Voice, are chosen to receive and interpret his wishes. In this camp, we have no Claw, no Voice. We are just ourselves.

You think you'll see your deceased mate again?

We come from nature, and we return to it. It's an endless cycle. When I heard of Followed by Night's vigil, I was moved to join her and to meditate on my own connection to nature.

Why are you called Watchful Moon?

My name has evolved with my experiences. It became Watchful Moon when I started my vigil here. My previous name, Laughs at the Dawn, no longer fit me.
