Ponies[edit]
Quick question: Was your post on Infinite's talk page meant to be an MLP reference, or was that just a coincidence? - TaxBrony 14:49, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Eeyup. ;) Gnarf 14:52, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
I like her too, but to state that she'd be the best pony, I'd have to see more of her. Sadly, she only got a few scenes. Maybe in season 3... at the San Diego Comic Con, they hinted something. Gnarf 14:03, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think it was more or less confirmed that we'd be seeing more of her. TaxBrony 14:32, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Infinite's technical issues[edit]
- I'm so happy that it's a resolved issue now.... :P - Infinite - talk 15:37, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Glad it's working now. Maybe it was an issue with your ISP or region or something. - TaxBrony 15:39, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
Delete tags on vandalism[edit]
Hi! Just wanted to give you an advice on dealing with pages created by vandals. We usually keep the original content of vandalism on the page, unless it is somehow harmful. It helps admins to clearly see the page was vandalized on first look and they can delete it even more easily, or so they say. That's not to discourage you from more tagging, thanks for your help! ***EAGLEMUT*** TALK 14:13, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll remember that. Gnarf 14:16, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
How do I sign unsigned comments?[edit]
I often see unsigned comments. How can I add that "The preceeding unsigned comment was written by bla" tag? Gnarf 08:18, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- {{subst:unsigned|IP or username}} -Auron 08:26, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you! Gnarf 08:27, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- Or {{subst:unsigned2|timestamp|IP or username}} for which you can go to the page's history tab, highlight the timestamp and username for that revision, then copy/paste that into the template and insert the pipe between them. It's a little more work, but it provides the context of a timestamp, which is generally a Good Thing. —Dr Ishmael 14:07, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Test, Test! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Gnarf (talk).
Work[edit]
Thank you sir for your excellent work on conditions and boons. 213.63.137.36 13:51, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
- I wouldn't call it excellent, but thanks. I try to work thoroughly. Gnarf 13:59, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

New signature[edit]
I want a new signature. Is there an easy possibility to change it, without copypasting everytime I post a comment? Like, uhm, a template or something? Gnarf 18:52, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- Special:Preferences. —Dr Ishmael 19:17, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- Right, I should have also linked you to the guidelines at Help:Signatures. —Dr Ishmael 19:59, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
At first, I thought you meant something different. oO — Gnarf ~ El Psy Congroo ~ 20:26, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Suggestions and the people who make them[edit]
I am aware you mean well and this is just a piece of advice on how to deal with people trying to make suggestions on this wiki. I was around when the feedback section was created on GWW and I think I have pretty good insight into what it actually is. It is a black hole designed to suck in the constant torrent of ideas that people try to spew out everywhere else. Why is such a thing necessary? Because people spew out bad ideas all the time. They are often bad for multiple reasons; They have been suggested a thousand times before, they are completely impractical or ridiculous or the developers have already said that they don't want such a thing.
The people who suggest them are often completely unreasonable about their suggestion and how important they think it is. It is usually completely futile to try and convince them, logically or otherwise, that their suggestion is bad or pointless. Before the feedback section was implemented GWW talk pages were plagued with suggestions and massive arguments about the viability, practicality and merits of these suggestions. The feedback section buried this in its own little part of the wiki forever. I admit that some of these ideas will be read by the developers and sometimes even implemented, but it is a purgatory designed to stop such things from detracting from the wiki itself. As such, whenever someone tries to make a suggestion anywhere, the best course of action is simply to send them there, along with any delusions of importance, to shout into the void. The reality is, that even good suggestions are often lost due to the shear volume of passionate people trying to help developers. This rings true of any developer and any game and the reality is, unless one finds a way to directly talk to someone or already have huge influence and presence in the community(such as professional gamers), one requires an inordinate amount of luck to be heard.
I would advise you in the future when you encounter such things to simply redirect people to either the feedback section on GWW or to the official forums. It will reduce pointless discussions on this wiki that won't actually change anything and could prevent you from wasting time and energy in trying to convince zealots of the error of their ways. Happy editing and keep up the good work! Misery 09:56, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
