Moving to separate bundle page[edit]

I do not agree with this edit. Why the split? Right now, our documentation of these toys is consistent throughout, why create a separate page that forces the reader to click another page for information that didn't bloat up the original page in any way? People constantly complain about unnecessary clicks, why are we generating even more in a context where it's not really necessary? User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 13:41, 31 December 2018 (UTC)

I agree, bad idea. 174.225.21.58 14:05, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
The object and the bundle you get by interacting with the object are two different things. No other toy works like this, so there's no consistency being affected here.--Lon-ami (talk) 16:48, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
Technically, Aviator's Memory Box, Bobblehead Laboratory, Bottomless Belcher's Bluff Kit, and Zephyr Sanctum Model all act like this. They spawn an object that does different things, the Belcher's Bluff Kit is almost identical to this in function actually, and none of them are split. They're technically different things, but they provide the same function. I mean, technically, we got three things - the original object, the novelty wardrobe option, and what's spawned. But there's zero need to separate the three. We also have three separate items for every single miniature, infinite tonic, and the grosse majority of armor, outfits, weapons, gliders, etc. But they all serve more or less the same prupose, and splitting them does nothing but convolute and obfuscate the wiki. Suggest remerge. Konig (talk) 17:57, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
Seconding what Konig said.
Apart from this, I'd still appreciate answers to my actual questions to help me understand the reasoning here: why did the split take place, and what are you trying to achieve by splitting the page? What kind of merits does it yield for the wiki and its readers? User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 18:55, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
None of Konig's examples match how the bucket works, the first two provide effects, the third has stationary use (and is split between Bottomless Belcher's Bluff Kit, Belcher's Bluff (effect), and Belcher's Bluff; do you even check what you're posting?), and the fourth triggers a cinematic.
The bucket is placed in the ground, and once placed, anyone can interact with it to gain a bundle. The first is a toy, and the second is a bundle, each page having different categories.
I don't mind having the change reverted, but objects/bundles in the same situation would then have to follow through. As an example, Summon Cauldron and Cauldron have a similar problem. There's many other costume brawl skills that summon objects, which then provide additional functionalities, which are part of the object, not the skill that summoned the object.
The bucket is a toy, but its bundle is a costume brawl toy. That distinction should be reflected somewhere.--Lon-ami (talk) 13:45, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Any tonic, gizmo, and/or bundle that can be sold from vendors, all of them, as far as I can tell, have their skills on the same page, and not split up. Why? It's like Inc says, it's not reader friendly. Since it is a Costume Brawl item as you say, I suggest it be added to the category Costume brawl toys, that would likely be the simplest solution. - Doodleplex 17:44, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Belcher's Bluff is three different pages because you linked an item, an effect, and an activity. Even if the items (and Box o' Fun is another) don't work the exact same as the balloon bucket, they're all an inventory/wardrobe item that spawns a separately functional open-world object. Technically three different things. Splitting them would only be benefit for function and not user friendliness - and, if I'm being honest, a lot of your edits are focused more on the former than the latter, but it is user-friendliness that takes priority 100% of the time.
For records sake, I would argue the Cauldron situation is different for two reasons. First, Summon Cauldron is a skill, not an item. Second, different names. It is more similar to minion skills where we separate the skill from the NPC, rather than a novelty separating the object created from the novelty wardrobe item.
And as for "the bucket is a toy, the bundle is a costume brawl toy" this is Anet being consistently inconsistent, we should just mark the bucket as a costume brawl toy as well. It's the same with some of the combat tonics we got, not all of them are labeled "Combat Tonic" some are labeled simply "Tonic". Konig (talk) 19:05, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
As I said, I'm not against it being moved back, but there should be a consensus on what to do with the other toys with multiple pages.
Another example: Pirate Sword (toy), Build Cannon, and Cannon (Costume Brawl).--Lon-ami (talk) 17:40, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
There is consistency (not consensus, different thing entirely) with what's done. Again, those three pages? Skill versus object. Not wardrobe item versus object. It's an entirely separate matter. Konig (talk) 21:14, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
