Locations - avoiding an edit war[edit]
I would like us to reach some kind of agreement as to what location information we want to list on these kind of pages, before this turns into an edit war. I have removed very specific locations (Vigilant Hills - S where bluff starts, N by water near skill point ) and reduced the information to just listing the sub-region (Vigilant Hills). But the specific locations has been re-added shortly after my edit. My primary reason for removing this kind of info is that the locations aren't persistent. I have noticed that each region has at least 3 different spawn patterns which changes after 3 or 4 days. At best, this will give players a 33% chance of finding the ressource node at the specific location, why I think it is irellevant or misleading to list locations on such a low level .... But I would like your comments please? -- {{subst:User:Manassas/sig}} 10:03, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Exact spawn points for nodes (except for rich ore nodes and tree/plant farms) are randomly generated every time a map is initialized. This means that different worlds have different spawn points, and every game update will generate new spawn points. So like you said, there's no point in documenting exact locations. —Dr Ishmael 12:49, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think you're quite right on that, Dr., but I'm agreeing with you anyhow. Daddicus 23:43, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure they're not "100% random", but rather there is a large list of possible locations and the nodes are placed among these. If we had the entire list it would be great, but we don't, and as you said it would vary from world to world at any given time. Vili 点 23:50, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

New Drop Locations[edit]
- Not sure if it's worth noting, but Brisban has (at least) six patches. With rich metal veins I know there's a fixed number of veins (for example, in Sparkfly Fen there's four: two random and two permanent) so it's possible that there's also six herb patches in Brisban at random locations. --Imry ☎ 04:53, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
