Questioning "Skill effects" section[edit]

From this article:

Ranged skills will throw Frostfang instead of the default axe model. This effect changes the following skills:

The listed skills for Necromancer are not Axe skills, they are Death Shroud skills. They have nothing to do with the Axe, and do not require wielding an axe to use them. Life Blast is a slow moving torpedo of shadowy energy, and Dark Path is a shadowy claw attack similar to Spectral Grasp followed by a teleport to target; neither one includes any weapon in their animations. 12.233.147.42 20:41, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

Of course they are not axe skills. It changes the projectile to the Frostfang skin. Instead of the black green glob it shoots Frostfang with an icy trail behind it. It is not a mistake in the article. (Sashebalchev (talk) 22:38, 5 May 2016 (UTC))

Sound Effect[edit]

Frostfang has a wind blowing sound effect when drawn. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Eruru (talkcontribs) at 12:18, May 1, 2016‎ (UTC).

Are you sure? I cannot hear any effects other than the regular metallic scraping when I draw the axe. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 13:46, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
100% sure, I can make a video I suppose if needed. It's quite faint, but it is there. It is like a quiet breeze wind type sound that comes when drawn and then disappears. Also sorry, forgot to sign comment :P --Eruru (talk) 20:26, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
Could this be due to the sound quality setting? I've always wondered what may be missed at different settings. G R E E N E R 20:29, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
I just checked and bifrost does this too! But here's frostfang: https://youtu.be/ccTFREn2vYw --Eruru (talk) 20:38, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
Should we write it into the effect section? Just want to confirm that The Moot, also does this. I think this is something all legendaries actually do, but I've only tried moot, bifrost and frostfang. I am surprised nobody noticed it before! --Eruru (talk) 07:31, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Fascinating. It's fairly faint and I had to turn up the volume of my speakers quite a bit to be able to hear the sound in game. I probably wouldn't ever have perceived it as a) my laptop's fans are pretty loud and b) my music drowns out a lot of sounds, apparently. In case of Frostfang, it sounds more like an exhaling of air rather than a 'wind blowing' actually (which would make sense as it's tied to the visual effect of Frostfang's 'chattering'. Feel free to add this bit of information to the articles.

@ Greener: As far as I've tested it, the sound quality setting does not affect this effect. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 09:45, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
