File names[edit]

Feel free to upload files with spaces in the names. I've moved the two eagle files to names such as "File:Juvenile Eagle - Halkor Meadows.png". -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 13:25, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Also, I noticed one of your files is PNG and the other is JPG. We prefer screenshots to be in JPG format (we use PNG for icons), so if you could re-upload the PNG one as JPG, that would be great. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 14:58, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
Okay will do from now on. I'll reupload so it's jpg. The name was me being super lazy :P --Neko+ (talk) 13:20, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Actually, do I just reupload to the file? Will it replace it? Or do I have to delete it somehow and reupload? Sorry, I am unsure haha. Thanks. --Neko+ (talk) 19:58, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
It's a different extension, so you'll have to upload it as a new file. We can take care of deleting the PNG version for you.
Also, could you please modify your signature to display your actual username? (See Help:Signatures for our guidelines.) —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 20:24, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Ok, everything's been changed! --Epilum (talk) 11:03, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
Can I make the circles white? I have on some pictures and noticed it looks a lot better than red. --Epilum (talk) 11:46, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
Any colour you like. Whatever you think is visible is fine by us. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 12:58, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
Okay, thank you =) --Epilum (talk) 14:42, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

Light of Dwayna[edit]

Hey there, would you mind taking another screenshot that is in a more neutral environment. The dessert surrounding doesn't make its features pop enough, which is what we want. —Ventriloquist 14:49, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

What area do you suggest? The desert is pretty neutral in terms of light. However there was a sandstorm at that particular moment so can always do it again with no sandstorm. Edit: The reason why mine doesn't glow like the picture below it, is because I don't use post processing if that's what you mean with features(post processing exaggerates glow, bloom and particle effects). If I have that on, like the pictures previously, you can't even properly see the details on the item. With the post processing on you can't even see the water like features on the cloth running down, nor the feather/wings. If this is what's preferred I'll keep in mind for next time of course, my thought with the picture was rather to upload a clear, non-blurry/bloomy picture of the actual item and not it's effects when using post-processing. Let me know what you think, thanks. Edit: That gave me an idea, we should totally have gifs of items with effects as their pictures 8-) that'd be awesome --Eruru (talk) 09:43, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Definitely check it out. Its a good anime :D ||-- OurDelusions 18:53, 5 May 2016

Images[edit]

Hi Eruru. Whilst other users uploading over the top of your images may be annoying, try your best to think "which image is superior", not just "which image did i upload". I agree with most of your reversions today but its usually best to talk to other users before reverting, for example there is a conversation on File talk:The Bifrost Trail.jpg.

On a related note, please also try not to make the first comment on a user's talkpage aggressive - the wiki always needs new users. This is the second time I've noticed you doing this. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 19:42, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

The bifrost one is better, but it would be even better had the user not uploaded with their armour on. That's actually the sole reason I reverted the bifrost trail one. But alright, I shall try to be nicer in the way I say things to other users, I realise it's aggressive, I get annoyed when I spend lots of time getting the best pictures I can and they get uploaded over by something worse. Since I try my best to keep characters out of focus so people can imagen their own characters wielding the weapons. --Eruru (talk) 14:44, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
Yeah everyone feels like that when their images get replaced. Thanks for taking this minor criticism so well. :D -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 16:27, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
But I have to say, that I do not feel that the pictures currently are any better than the ones I uploaded. If anything they are worse. Some are only higher filesize because they are larger rather than the other(like two pictures in one). So aren't these pictures useless uploads? When they are not better than current anyway? I still feel like the ones I uploaded gives the wiki a better overall look and that the ones uploaded by the other user was in fact unnecessary. Like some of the early ones I did of other weapons. --Eruru (talk) 19:04, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

Armor[edit]

what armor is it? it's beautiful The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.119.107.162 (talkcontribs) at 07:26, 4 July 2016 (UTC).

Huh? What are you talking about? ^^ --Eruru (talk) 15:13, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
Sry I'm new to wiki - your juggernaut legendary pic, what armor is that? Thanks! The preceding unsigned comment was added by 89.173.105.145 (talkcontribs) at 15:00, 5 July 2016 (UTC).
I believe they mean File:Juggernaut armor effect.jpg picture. Gotta admit that does look cool what you're wearing there, is it an armor set or a mix of pieces? - Doodleplex 21:29, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
From what I can tell, that's Protector's Shoulderplates with the rest of the armor pieces being heavy illustrious armor. —Ventriloquist 23:07, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
Pretty much what Ventriloquist said, it's not me but I'll let him(Addy) know you dig his armour :) --Eruru (talk) 17:37, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

Winter's Heart Infusion[edit]

I'm grateful for the better picture of that infusion, but I have a small request: would you mind retaking those pictures on a human? Due to sylvari's being able to have a wide range of skin colours, I can't tell if she's white because you coloured her that way or if it's the infusion. - Doodleplex 22:53, 30 September 2017 (UTC)

Sure, I'll try get it done in a few. --Eruru (talk) 11:31, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the new pictures, greatly appreciated. - Doodleplex 20:04, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
No problem! Hope they will be helpful. And I have taken what people have said so you can be sure that none of my uploads are with GEMFX anymore. However I play the game when I take pictures with supersample in invidia panel and ingame to maximise the graphics. Hope that is ok :) Also was wondering if you have any page with information on where screenshots are needed? Because I'm not very good with lore and editing so I unfortunately can't help much with those things. --Eruru (talk) 20:44, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
I'll be honest, I'm not sure what that is, but if makes things look odd I'll let you know. As for things missing pictures, there's an entire category dedicated to that very thing: Category:Pages with broken file links. Additionally there's this category which is very neglected and could really use some attention: Category:Image update requests. Cheers! - Doodleplex 03:58, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

Help requested[edit]

Saw the edit summary, so I came help. If you have something new but don't know how to make the infobox, I find the easiest way to to do it is to find something that already has a page similar to what you have, and just copy the original page, replacing where you need to. So for example if I was making a new page for a new Halloween weapon, I'd copy something like Onus and replace stuff like the id, name, and prefix to what I had. If you don't know of anything similar, try checking out Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Item formatting for items, Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Armor formatting for armor and Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Weapon formatting for weapons. Hope this helps. =) - Doodleplex 19:30, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Yeah! Tried to do that but wasn't sure. I don't know where I can find the ID of an item either :/ So sorry about that, thanks for the tips :D --Eruru (talk) 19:45, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
That's actually fairly simply: type /wiki then hold shift and click on the item so it appears right after /wiki and then hit enter. You should come here to the wiki with a page informing you that the page doesn't exist, but you should see something like "There is no article linked with this ID (x)." and that's how to get the id. Works for just about anything that you can ping in the chat box such as items, skills, even effects on enemy NPCs. =) - Doodleplex 19:50, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Pet images[edit]

I've actually noticed these awhile ago, but never bothered to check who was making them. I really like them! Every time I see one I notice how consistent they are. Nice job! (also, how do you get such a nice focus like that? Do you edit it later?)--Rain Spell (talk) 19:51, 11 November 2017 (UTC)

Hey thank you so much :) I try my best to edit them to basically just get rid of the noise in the background, I ranger main so I really wanna get all the pets good pictures and consistent pictures. I edit it by hand in photoscape at the best of my ability! Eruru (talk) 20:21, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
