Talk:Dagger
Whats the chance of dagger now being a thrown weapon? since they are 1 handed? i would personally prefer that.--174.130.231.162 02:50, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- The only reason they were two-handed in GW1 is because there was no dual wielding, so 2 daggers were one ingame weapon. No need to do that in a game with dual wielding. That's all, most likely. -- NilePenguin 03:23, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- They better be held and used UNDERHANDED this time. You know, the real way... Arshay Duskbrow
- I believe they are one hander now--Knighthonor 07:30, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- Not all daggers are used "underhanded" - it's a matter of preference. And yes, it seems that daggers are one-handed now. -- Konig/talk 07:53, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm aware of that. Regardless of whether you're using one in a single hand or both hands - UNDERHANDED, please. Arshay Duskbrow 18:11, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- If you look closely, there were a few attacks where the daggers were used underhanded in gw1. But does it really matter? What if people don't like using daggers that way? :p -- Konig/talk 18:16, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- |In this you can see the knife(dagger/sword?) is being held underhanded. --hexal 18:30, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

- Where does the idea that this is an elementalist weapon come from? Ramei Arashi 08:19, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

- Actually, I wrote the explanations here before posting them on guru ;-) Chriskang 21:00, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- Guild Wars thinks daggers to be knives, hence the overhanded wielding. Knives are better, anyways. :P -~=Ϛρѧякγ (τѧιк) 03:38, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Nou. Anyway, it seems clear they will be used underhanded - Caithe is doing just that in the trailer, when I went back and looked. Me = Happy. Arshay Duskbrow 02:24, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- When you say "underhand" i assume you actually mean reverse grip/overhand, because the gw1 assassin wielded the dagger underhand, which is also known as "the saber grip". Please Clarify :). (This is Kuulpb, but at the moment i am not signed is and cannot be bothered to as my fasmily is sick and going to turn computer off.) (Kuulpb) 18:20, 10/10/12 (UTC).

Elementalist?[edit]
How does the ele wield this weapon?--♥Icyyy♥ 02:11, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- Every class will probably be able to wield some sort of melee/martial weapon. -~=Ϛρѧякγ (τѧιк) 02:16, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- And tbh, when some dude gets upin your grill all like "im gonna put my sword in ya face till you die, ok?" you would probably prefer a knife to stab them in the gizzards rather than smack em upside the head with some shiny stick lol. --Jimmer123 00:18, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- Probably by utilising his/her hand(s). --Naoroji 10:42, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

- do char have hands?! or are they more paws Venom20 12:45, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- well they can use swords/bows/staves well enough in GW1 why wouldnt they be able to use a dagger in 250 years? So i would say they do have hands yes, or are at least dextrous enough paws to use =] --Jimmer123 12:48, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Stone daggers (gw1 skill) anyone one lol.--Ian8766 01:11, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Bleed![edit]
Like Dragon Age, I would love to cut my Necromancer's arm and bleed on the foe. Then instantly, they get cursed. --173.66.189.216 20:43, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Mesmer[edit]
Think that the mesmer will be able to use it??? Hope so! Actually hope for dual wield for mesmer. That would be awesome!!!! Nathan ~ Natejh8 04:34, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
- I would rather have the Mesmer able to use a sword, like in all of the concept art of it. Eive 05:11, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
- That would be great too!!! Nathan ~ Natejh8 03:06, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Thief[edit]
Should the dual skills when wielding an off-hand dagger and main-hand pistol/sword be mentioned? Corvus 12:41, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
- Off-hand dagger is here as dual wielding daggers. For other dual skills look at pistol and sword pages, also there is no off-hand sword for the thief. 82.131.236.98 12:51, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
