Talk:Captain's Council
Wait, when was Destiny's Edge made honorary members of the council? And Zojja's permanent? --JonTheMon (talk) 06:03, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
- It's an easy overlooked piece of lore, so I probably should have left a reference—sorry about that. On p280 of Edge of Destiny, we have "Even Eir and her companions wore new clothes—greatcoats in dazzling white. They were gifts from Magnus the Bloody Handed, tailored from the first shipment of fine wool to pass the erstwhile lair of Morgus Lethe. Each coat designated its wearer an honorary member of the Ship's Council." Looks like they let any riff-raff in these days :) --Santax (talk · contribs) 08:04, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, and Zojja shouldn't be a permanent member, she's just honorary like the rest. I think that was just a typo. --Santax (talk · contribs) 08:05, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
1326 election[edit]
It feels a little out of place here. I'd just mention the results of the election and point to somewhere with the details, like Cutthroat Politics. --JonTheMon (talk) 16:41, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
Second Lionguard Captain?[edit]
Mort Duserm's page lists Bronn Svaard as his successor, but Bronn isn't listed on this page. Also, the only support from Sea of Sorrows we have that Bronn was Lionguard Captain is that he and his wife Hedda were training four youths during the Great Krytan Blockade. Is there anywhere else that would be able to say whether or not Bronn succeeded Mort Duserm as Captain? Thanks. ~~TiffanySmith.8216 08:17, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- I'm going to guess that being leader of the Lionguard doesn't guarantee a seat on the council as, from what I remember from the novel, neither Mort nor Bronn took part in the council meetings (unlike Magnus). I'd have to re-read the novel for confirmation on these things though. Konig (talk) 15:17, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, that makes sense. But do we know if Bronn was captain or not? The training bit I mentioned above happened on page 254, if that helps. ~~TiffanySmith.8216 19:46, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
