It appears that water spirit and sylvari healing seed don't really give any Astral Force or at least a very very small amount barely seen on the bar.

This page describes the amount of astral force generated in percentages, but it's not clear to me what we're taking a percentage of (a percentage of the healing done? a percentage of max astral force? something else?) --Felbryn (talk) 21:04, 20 June 2016 (UTC)

A percentage of max Astral Force. The percentage is always the same (.75 for damage, 1.5 for heals) and increases the Astral Force total. If you use Ancestral Grace on an ally and you both get healed, then your Astral Force bar increases by 3%. (2 x 1.5%) Or if you were attacking a single opponent with your greatsword and hit with all 3 attacks in the chain then you would gain 2.25% Astral Force (3 x 0.75). Are you with it now? Lifesteal[edit]

The page says lifesteal effects charge it, but does it charge off the healing, damage, or both? If it's both then it should be pretty nuts with Vampiric Presence --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 00:58, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

It says at the bottom of the page:
Bug: Lifesteal, despite applying both healing and damage, only charges for 1.5%. The damage is ignored for Astral Force.

Generation[edit]

Description said Astral Force was charged by 0.75% of damage and 1.5% of healing. This is wrong, it's based entirely on number of hits. Astral Force 0 to 100 with 1400 healing power takes the same time as with 0 healing power through regeneration alone. Longbow at max Range does takes 90 seconds to charge while shortbow (quicker weapon) takes 47. Level 80 shortbow and level 1 shortbow takes the exact same amount of time to charge.

So it's number of hits for damage, but are you sure it's number of hits for healing as well?--Rain Spell (talk) 00:42, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
Number of hits is exactly what the description said though. It's 0.75% for damage and 1.5% for healing. Those percentages are for your Astral Force pool, not percentages of damage/healing! I will revert the change and try to clarify it more.
