but it is a map wide meta event? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 20:21, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Yeah I screwed up before noticing the difference. Edit was reverted. -Darqam (talk) 20:27, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Event Names[edit]

For some reason Defeat Axemaster Hareth and Defeat Blademaster Diarmid have similar names but the page for Legendary Stavemaster Adryn is Defeat Mordremoth's Commander ? Not sure whats going on here--Encoded (talk) 20:48, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

Never mind, it seems that those are the actual names of the events in game. Weird --Encoded (talk) 20:57, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
Short answer: ANet logic/probably goofed. Just smile and nod. xD Long answer: Adryn is the one outside the coils while the other two are inside the coils during the fight against Mordy. Maybe it was something that was meant to be elaborated on in the HoT story, but they weren't able to, and the event named stayed. - Doodleplex 21:04, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

Defend the camp (Dragon's Stand)[edit]

I just ran through the DS meta hopping between lanes and could not find any event or mention of Defend the camp (Dragon's Stand). Anyone know anything about this?--Encoded (talk) 21:35, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

For this event to happen, I believe the escort the dolyak event needs to fail. Given that this virtually never happens; this event is not documented yet. -Darqam (talk) 21:37, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
Erm you mean escort the the troops, because there is an Escort Dolyak to the camp before the assault event, right? If that's the case the only way to get it might literally be to have a group run through DS to purposely have events and stuff fail, as yeah, normally those events don't fail. (Oh and uh if anybody gets this idea, get the tier rewards too >_>) - Doodleplex 21:40, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
Not sure which one it is name wise, fairly certain it is "Escort troops to the Mordrem spitfire". For some reason though I am certain that this happens if you fail an escort to the checkpoints (Pact moral goes to 0). -Darqam (talk) 21:58, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
Got some second hand information about this event. If occurs after a "Escort troops to the Mordrem spitfire" fails by reaching 0 morale. Once this happens the entire lane is sent back to the very first camp and the defense event starts. From there the main Escort event must be repeated as well as the side events. If this happens during the last escort phase its basically an automatic fail for the entire map because you wont have enough time--Encoded (talk) 01:03, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
A map I was in failed the second south escort once, and the defense was at the second camp, not the first. iirc the defense failed extremely quickly because scaling made them absolutely massacre the npcs you had to defend and we got sent back to the start --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 01:07, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
That seems more likely. Ill continue trying to find info on this --Encoded (talk) 01:13, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
I edited the article to reflect this discussion though I'm not sure if there's a defend event for the first checkpoint area since that's the main camp. I'd think there's only two per lane, but left it as is because I'm not sure. I can confirmed though from earlier HoT days that it only shows up for failing an escort event, however, I think failing to kill a thornheart before it hits the camp auto-fails the escort event and begins the defense in a very likely-to-fail way. I was in a map tonight that failed Defeat the Mordrem Spitfire at Northern Advance Camp Waypoint. We had to do a "Defend the camp" event at Northern Forward Camp Waypoint. We also failed that, so it reset us all the way back to Bring Chakata shiny wyvern crystals to get the skritt to join the fight (or possibly even the headcount and it was so quick that I missed it). -- Dashface User Dashface.png 12:49, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
