Innkeeper Aela is a merchant in the Postern Ward area of Lion's Arch. Players could also turn in Crude Drawings from the Molten Facility dungeon to receive a Jug of Liquid Karma. She survived the attack on Lion's Arch and could be found in the camp in Bouldermouth Vale, although she did not sell anything there, before eventually returning to Lion's Arch.
In present-day Lion's Arch, she can be found adjacent to the Eastern Ward Waypoint.

Dialogue[edit]
For the old dialogue, see here
- Welcome to the Lion's Shadow...Bed and Breakfast. I'm still in the middle of renovations, but we have some product for sale.
- Let me see what you have to offer.
- I did, but I got an offer I couldn't refuse. I hear there are some important neighbors moving in over there. They've leveled my old inn.
- By hook or by crook. The city was auctioning it off. I made sure I won the lot, moved in, and started a slightly...different operation.
- Good luck.
How did you come by this place?
- Enough talk. I'll take you up on that earlier offer of refreshments.
- I have to go.
Didn't you used to run an inn?
- I've seen many wordly wonders. I used to be a scholar at the Durmand Priory, but I left to start up this inn and settle down.
- Its history is the reason I moved here. This area was flooded when Orr rose from the sea, which is why pirates, with their hardy ships, inhabited the ruins.
- Lion's Arch is one of the top trading ports in Tyria. This city attracts people from all cultures, backgrounds, and affiliations. Perfect for me.
- You've done well here. Keep it up!
Seems the pirates are still here.
- Interesting. Thanks for the information.
Know anything about Lion's Arch?
- It's a fine place. See you.
You seem like a well-traveled innkeeper.
- (If the player has obtained the Crude Drawing)
- But this was... oh Spirits, no. This belong to someone I loved more than life in my youth. If you've found it, then... I see. Thank you for returning it to me. (gives the player a Swig of Liquid Karma)
- No problem.
I found this in a Molten facility. I think you should have it.
- (If the player has already turned in the Crude Drawing)
- Better. I'll always carry this loss with me, but that doesn't mean my life has to stop. Thank you again for your kindness.
- Anytime.
How are things?
- I'm just looking around.
- In the Memory of Old Lion's Arch
- Welcome to the Lion's Shadow. Pull up a stool, and I'll pour you a tall mug.
- Sounds like a plan.
- It just so happens that I have a riveting tale for you — the tale of how I founded this inn!
- All right, riveting might now be the right word. It's a simple story: hunter wants adventure, hunter finds adventure, hunter misses ale, hunter settles down and opens inn.
- I get it, I get it, I'll leave you to your drink in peace. Enjoy your stay.
- Thanks, I will.
Sorry, I fell asleep. What was that?
- I'll take my drink to go, please.
And how's that riveting?
- I'll pass.
How about a story to accompany my drink?
- I've seen many wordly wonders. I used to be a scholar at the Durmand Priory, but I left to start up this inn and settle down.
- Its history is the reason I moved here. This area was flooded when Orr rose from the sea, which is why pirates, with their hardy ships, inhabited the ruins.
- Makes sense, since Lion's Arch is one of the top trading ports in Tyria. Despite its crime, this city attracts people from all cultures and backgrounds. Perfect for my inn.
- You've done well here. Keep it up!
Seems the pirates are still here.
