Dialogue[edit]

My professor gave me an unsolvable problem. No one has ever been able crack it. I'm thinking of just giving up.
(If asura)
Talk more option tango.png Okay, but quitters usually have to settle for jobs washing beakers.
What a horrifying thought. I shall return to the problem post haste.
Talk end option tango.png Glad to help.
Talk more option tango.png Probably best not to waste your valuable time.
The fact that you agree just seals it. The professor should learn my time is too valuable to waste on impossible tasks.
Talk end option tango.png There you go.
(If not asura)
Talk more option tango.png Even working on an unsolvable problem can help sharpen your mind.
I never thought about it that way. It's always a pleasant surprise to stumble across a point of view that isn't mind-numbingly idiotic.
Talk end option tango.png Anytime.
Talk more option tango.png Sounds to me like further effort is just a waste of your time. (same as "Probably best not to...)
Talk end option tango.png Hang in there.
I can't decide which college I should join. Dynamics, Statics, or Synergetics. I would undoubtedly excel in whichever I chose, if I could only chose.
(If asura and of College of Statics)
Talk more option tango.png Statics. You could build and design lasting inventions.
(If asura and of College of Dynamics)
Talk more option tango.png Dynamics. Everyone knows the best gizmo makers study there.
(If asura and of College of Synergetics)
Talk more option tango.png Synergetics. Where better to research the true nature of the eternal alchemy.
I agree with your logic. You've reinforced the conclusion I've just now reached. Thank you.
Talk end option tango.png Happy to assist.
(If not asura)
Talk more option tango.png Why not join all of them?
Join all of them? That's a brilliant idea! Surely no college would reject a prospect as brilliant as me.
Talk end option tango.png Glad I could help.
Talk end option tango.png I'm afraid the choice is yours to make.
What's so special about dynamo-fusion collant devices? Everyone knows cross-liquid stratagems yield better results.
(If asura)
Talk more option tango.png Biochemically speaking, dynamo-fusion is cleaner and less explosive.
I suppose you have a point there. What are all those cross-liquid stagophiles thinking?
Talk end option tango.png Humility suits you.
Talk more option tango.png Dynamo-fusion is a fad. Once cooler heads prevail, it'll fall out of favor.
Absolutely. What are those dynamo-fusionophiles thinking?
Talk end option tango.png When you're right, you're right.
(If not asura)
Talk more option tango.png Of course they do.
See? It's obvious even to a sub-genius.
Talk end option tango.png Thanks.
Talk more option tango.png How can you be so certain?
Good point. Perhaps I am being too hasty in my judgment. I should reconsider the benefits of dynamo-fusion coolant devices.
Talk end option tango.png You can never be too careful.
Talk end option tango.png Who cares?
I was contemplating joining the Inquest. I find their ambition and fortitude most admirable. Don't you agree?
(If asura)
Talk more option tango.png Perhaps you should focus your future elsewhere. The Inquest is not to be idolized.
Sheesh, you sound just like my parents.
Talk end option tango.png Heed their words.
(If not asura)
Talk more option tango.png I know enough about the Inquest to know they're evil.
Sheesh, you sound just like my parents.
Talk end option tango.png They sound like smart folks.
Talk end option tango.png Sorry, but I'm not a guidance counselor.
The professors here think they know more than we do, but they're actually making it so we couldn't know more than they do. They're reining us in, throttling us intellectually.
(If asura)
Talk more option tango.png Our minds are only as limited as we make them.
Good point. I'm the only who can say how much my head will swell.
Talk end option tango.png There you go.
Talk more option tango.png You should listen to your professors. They represent the cream of the crop.
(If not asura)
Talk more option tango.png Aren't you a bit young to be this paranoid?
Paranoia isn't merely for the elderly. They just have more free time to dwell on the possibilities. But wait, if I refuse to let the professors limit my potential, that might make THEM paranoid!
Talk end option tango.png Now you're thinking.
Talk more option tango.png Someone as smart as you must have a good reason to be paranoid.
Talk end option tango.png That's what school is all about.
I can't stand this school. Why should I allow them to dictate how I allocate my time? They're stifling my true genius!
(If asura)
Talk more option tango.png Young genius need guidance if they hope to grow to be old geniuses.
I did nearly get caught in an explosion with my last invention. My nose hairs still haven't grown back. Perhaps I'll take your words under advisement.
Talk end option tango.png You're already learning.
(If not asura)
Talk more option tango.png Trust your elders. Their experience can help you.
I admit my professors seem to know what they're talking about...most of the time.
Talk end option tango.png There you go.
Talk end option tango.png Sounds like you've still got a lot to learn.
I've been working on a blueprint for a limitless energy capacitor, but I can't determine which material would be best for reinforcing the intake valve. Can you offer any helpful insight?
(If asura)
Talk more option tango.png You don't need an intake valve. Energy is created inside the capacitor.
That's...right. Did I say "intake valve"? I meant "release valve". I know just what to do. You've helped me reach the only logical conclusion.
Talk end option tango.png Excelsior.
Talk more option tango.png Maybe if you made two intake valves, it would spread the stress.
Of course. When in doubt, spread it out. A second intake valve is precisely the answer I was working toward. I appreciate your helping me to reach a foregone conclusion.
Talk end option tango.png Excelsior.
(If not asura)
Talk more option tango.png You seem like you know what you're doing.
In the absence of answers I will accept compliments. Thank you.
Talk end option tango.png You're welcome.
Talk end option tango.png I may need to think about it some more.
I created designs for my own golem creation, but I can't decide where to start the actual construction. The head? Feet? Arms? Where does one begin?
(If asura)
Talk more option tango.png Simple. Start with the feet and work your way up.
The feet! My thinking precisely. I was just making sure you knew. If this were a test, you would've passed with top marks.
Talk end option tango.png Thanks for the confidence boost.
Talk more option tango.png Elementary. Start with the head and work your way down.
That's completely counter-intuitive. But brilliant. Where the head goes the feet will follow. I'll begin work from the top-down immediately.
Talk end option tango.png I thought you'd see things that way.
(If not asura)
Talk more option tango.png What do you think?
You're right I should trust my own instincts. Surely, the feet would be a good starting place, and from there I can work my way up.
Talk end option tango.png Sounds like a wise decision.
Talk end option tango.png I'm sure the answer will come to you.
