Walkthrough

You will be granted the special action skill   Detect Baddie to use near underwater egg nests to detect bad eggs. If bad eggs are detected, destructible Eggs with crossed swords above them will appear in the nest. Destroy them to receive Eggshells. Swim up to Bubbles "The Megalodon" to turn them in. Veteran Sea Scorpions will appear to protect their eggs.

If not enough eggshells are turned in, sea scorpions will hatch. Kill all the sea scorpions within the time limit for the event to succeed.

Conservationist An: Welcome to Gui Isle Hatchery! We're Cantha's largest marine life sanctuary. Normally I'd offer you a tour...

Conservationist An: But I'm afraid we're closed. We've got quite the invasive-species problem on our hands.

Conservationist An: The South Istani Sea Scorpion—or the "sea booger" as they're aptly nicknamed—is terrorizing our eggs!

Conservationist An: I've tried clearing them out, but they just lay more of their own eggs. Maybe you'd have better luck?

Event start

Conservationist An: Try and weed out the bad eggs. If you can break them, that ought to calm things.

Conservationist An: But watch out! Those little boogers hatch quickly. And the mama scorpions get very protective of their young.

Turning in eggshells

Conservationist An: Wonderful! Those boogers should be gone in no time!

Conservationist An: Keep up the pace, and those boogers won't have time to hatch!

Conservationist An: That's it! Crack those bad eggs!

If eggs hatch

Conservationist An: No, they hatched! Now you'll have to deal with the babies. Careful, they may be tiny, but they're vicious!

Conservationist An: I'd be happy if I never saw those blasted shells again in my life!

Conservationist An: Oh, come now. I didn't mean your shell, honey. You've both done life-saving work for our hatchery!

• During the Extra Life 2020 charity stream, ArenaNet offered the community an opportunity to create an event for the End of Dragons expansion, with several additional goals available for each donation goal. The event was created with the help of developer Nick Hernandez by using Twitch chat and polls.
