Polyluminescent Undulating Refractor (Black) is a jewel that is included in Oontz's Necklace of the Cat. Applying it to an item and equipping that item will make the character glow in black. It can be extracted from a trinket by using an Upgrade Extractor or by salvaging the trinket with a Black Lion Salvage Kit. It can also be upgraded to an infusion using the Mystic Forge.

- Prior to End of Dragons the effects from Polysaturating Reverberating Infusions, Hylek Potions, Polyluminescent Undulating Refractor, and Polyluminescent Undulating Infusions would only show the last applied effect and a random one upon zoning.
- Polysaturating Infusions do not affect character skin, when combined with a Polyluminescent, the skin will never be overridden but the armor and hair will.
- The effect does not affect the character's equipped back skins, weapons, or gliders.
- The effect can be combined with certain other infusions such as the Celestial Infusion.
- This upgrade applies the suffix "of the Cat."
- When equipping a trinket with this upgrade, it applies the Cat's Shadow effect.
Sharpening Skull has same effect when used.
