Shaemoor Graveyard[edit]
Haha! If you put together that page entirely by yourself—which I think you did—mad props to you! It'll require some tweaks in formatting, because the word "area" means something separate on GW2W, but it's an amazing boon you've put up. Thank you, and welcome to GW2W! —Jyavoc 01:28, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you. Yes, I've written it up, I somehow became fascinated with the headstones in the game, looking for references to GW1 or whatever interesting would come up. As you can see this was my first edit on GW2W, so I would know even less how landmarks are handled here. I've been active on GWW and somewhat on GW1W though, so I'm surprised that no arrangements for landmarks have been made yet here. Others will have to decide on that... - I've been here a while and I don't know how I would necessarily want to format the landmark page. But no, this was a great amount of work for your first edit! You'd be more likely to know than I, but: did you encounter the exact phrase "Shaemoor Graveyard" anywhere during your search through? Because if you did, then we'd keep it like that. Otherwise (and it's a much smaller point than it sounds :P), we'd probably move the page to "Shaemoor graveyard" as it isn't a proper noun. I hate correcting people who've just joined—and it's always minor things. Especially because I make far too many mistakes to feel like I get to correct people (laughs). So please don't take anything personally :) —Jyavoc 01:41, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
- No worries, like I said, I'm familiar with how wikis work. I've created the site from a red link, so I didn't even consider whether or not it's the correct name, my bad. In this case it seems to be "Shaemoor Cemetery", it says so on a road sign in the village. I'll move the article, thanks for he reminder. Roland of Gilead talk 01:59, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Sig image[edit]
Hey, sorry about that. I had to move your signature image from File:RolandOfGileadSignature.png to File:User RolandOfGilead Signature.png, per GW2W:IMAGE#User images. I left everything else intact, however, so the redirect should still work. —Jyavoc 02:42, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
- Ok cool, sorry for the misnomer. Roland of Gilead talk 02:51, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Landmarks[edit]
Konig already made preparations for these pages. Use Wizard's Tower as an example.--Relyk 03:09, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Tombstone/Gravestone text[edit]
For future reference, tombstone text goes on the article for the tombstone(s), not the area - e.g., Tombstone (Divinity's Reach) and Gravestone (Bonerattler Caverns). Shaemoor Cemetery and Shelter Rock are not the place to put the text. Konig/talk 05:08, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
PAGENAME[edit]
Avoid using {{PAGENAME}} on articles. It's a bad practice that we're advising people to stop doing now :)--Relyk ~ talk > 13:40, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- This wiki really has some tough love for non-gurus. I thought I was being super correct and followed Template:Object infobox, where it says that the screenshot name defaults to PAGENAME.jpg, so I kinda assumed that's exactly the best practice. Sigh. Roland of Gilead talk 13:43, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- wait scratch that, read too fast. And why is PAGENAME bad practice? Roland of Gilead talk 13:45, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, users should type {{subst:PAGENAME}} - this way you can still copypaste that bit over lots of pages, but it will replace the template with the actual pagename after you press submit ^^ Chieftain Alex 14:04, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- PAGENAME should only be used in templates, so that the template can adapt to the page it is on. There's no point in leaving a variable like that on a static article. —Dr Ishmael 14:07, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- Ok thanks, will do. Roland of Gilead talk 14:43, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
