Infobox[edit]

Hey, just a heads-up that the {{user infobox}} now supports "Non-Binary" as a gender option. It can't support anything more specific than that, but I thought you might like to know. :) --Idris (talk) 00:13, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

Yay, thanks! :) I set it as that right now.
On an unrelated note, I'm kinda flummoxed by the order the userbox arranges the template entries - it seems to be completely arbitrary. Eg. currently in the code it's ID, playing, other (which I use for location), age, achiev-points, gender. But it displays as pve, location, age, gender, ID, achiev-points O.o --kazerniel (talk) 08:49, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
The order the entries display is hard-coded into the template, regardless of the order you write them. This is the case for all infoboxes; helps keep things standardized even when editors forget the "right" order. User infoboxes could get away with being an exception to this, but tbh it'd probably be quite difficult to code them so the display order matches the written order. --Idris (talk) 15:02, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
As Idris says, infoboxes are generally intended to display data in a standardized format. What I would do if I was you is copy Template:User infobox into your userspace and experiment with it there (and then use it on your page as {{User:Kazerniel/User infobox|etc}}. For something like rearranging the order of elements, it should be as easy as dragging the various lines around- they're fairly human-readable. - Felix Omni 16:29, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
Good idea! When I said it'd be difficult to make the display order match the written order, I meant the main template, which would need to be capable of accounting for any order the user wants. Felix's suggestion would indeed be much easier, since you're essentially just reordering the "standard" layout. --Idris (talk) 16:41, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks folks, gonna give it a try :) -- kazerniel 18:51, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

Queer characters in Labyrinthine Cliffs[edit]

Hello, not sure if you noticed, but the Olmakhan Charr Cadell and Nerys in Labyrinthine Cliffs are a lesbian couple :) Sime (talk) 17:31, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

Thanks, I literally was about to add them to the list when I noticed your message :'D (Also trying to figure out how to add dialogue trees to their page, as it seems to be missing.) -- kazerniel (talk) 20:30, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

Suggestion[edit]

Hi Kazerniel! You've got this neat list of queer characters on your userpage, and I was thinking it'd make a great addition to the mainspace of the wiki — would you like to move it there perhaps?

Also, totally unrelated, but a while back I came across a Viridi-related guide on Steam and the author's name sure looked familiar! :) User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 14:57, 9 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi! I'm happy to add it, but what category would it belong to? I'm not aware of any other pages collecting NPCs not related by ingame lore.
re Viridi: haha, I'm everywhere :D -- kazerniel (talk) 22:41, 9 November 2019 (UTC)
We've been discussing this on the wiki discord; we haven't quite reached consensus yet, but just letting you know that potential categories under consideration are Category:Lore, Category:Characters, Category:Cultures, and Category:NPCs. Feel free to weigh in! —Idris User Idris signature.png 00:58, 10 November 2019 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Let's keep this on the wiki instead. :)

I was thinking of having one article with your table (i. e. 'List of queer characters'), categorised with 'Category:Queer characters' and treat that category as subcategory of Category:NPCs (we already have categories for NPCs named after community members and the likes, so that seems like a good fit to tie up loose ends). User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 09:45, 10 November 2019 (UTC)

Overall I'm with you, but I would also like to see some lore and trivia added to the article. I think there's a paragraph or two to be said on the topic of queerness in the game, both in-universe and in terms of how ANet approach it. For that reason, I'd like to see the article itself also categorized under Lore somewhere. —Idris User Idris signature.png 13:21, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
