This is a paraphrase of this. As it is an important choice, I fiured it would be good to write a guide that assists in the choosing of attributes that suit your play style.
Quick attribute overview[edit]
- Power - increases attack (which in turn increases direct damage)
- Precision - increases critical hit chance
- Toughness - increases defense
- Vitality - increases maximum health
Power vs. Precision[edit]
Increased damage vs. more critical hits
Power - Higher base damage, fewer activated critical effects
Precision - Lower base damage, more activated critical effects
- Raise power if: you prefer to deal a lot of damage all the time while occasionally getting massive damage (from a critical hit).
- Raise precision if: you want to have more critical hits (and related effects) but deal a lower base damage to balance it out.
Power vs. Toughness[edit]
Increased damage vs. increased durability
Power - Higher base damage, shorter lasting
Toughness - Lower base damage, longer lasting
- Power and toughness are two very different attributes, but they both (either directly or indirectly) factor into your damage output. With a higher power, you will deal more damage, but with a higher toughness, you will last longer, dealing more damage over time.
Power vs. Vitality[edit]
Increased damage vs increased health
Precision vs. Toughness[edit]
More critical hits vs. increased durability
Precision vs. Vitality[edit]
