Talk:Skyscale Treats

From Guild Wars 2 Wiki

Looks like these drop from any foe at any given level - e.g. i got the Minotaur piece from a level 7 foe at Wayfarer Foothills. You just have to defeat some more. No need to kill Champions, those even don´t seem to drop at 100%. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Arutemá (talk).

I'm guessing you can't get treats until you get your hatchling? I tried killing Iboga but nothing dropped - I don't get my hatchling until reset today. But it would be nice to "stock up".--Justaplayer (talk) 13:44, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
Until you unlock this collection, nothing will drop. —Ventriloquist 13:52, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

Rainspell added to the Notes section, "* It is recomended that the player use the Sun's Refuge Teleport option from the Spearmarshal's Plea.pngSpearmarshal's Plea gizmo." Why is this recommended?

Just for quick travel, since it's a free teleport to the location. —Ventriloquist 20:15, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
Saves a loading screen. Mine are so long :( --Rain Spell (talk) 20:25, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
Yeah you can also use the portal scroll or the book when you already added the scroll. But that doesnt mean its recommended. These kinds of informations are useless. Players can just open the page of Sun's Refuge and see it there how you can teleport in immediately. Feels redanded to have the same info on everywhere. --DiegoDeLaHouska (talk) 07:25, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
I disagree on it being extraneous information. A common complaint for those that use the wiki is how many clicks it takes to get the information. Also, you would only visit the Sun's Refuge page if you didn't really know what it was or if you were looking at the associated achievements. If you already knew where it was then you would just waypoint there, right? If adding one line can save a couple people a click-through (+ a couple waypoints/loading screens), then I think it's worth it. The teleportation feature for the gizmo is an easily forgotten one.--Rain Spell (talk) 00:41, 23 May 2019 (UTC)

Feedback 2020/03/30[edit]

All treats related to a core Tyria animal, drop from level 0-15 animals in core Tyria (skelk, skale, bat, ...). This allows a very rapid farming in low level areas like Queensdale and Plains of Ashford (1 up to 5 kills do it). --Tilu 13:37, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Feedback 2020/09/02[edit]

It looks like "Allied Encampment Waypoint — [&BFcLAAA=] — North of waypoint in Elon Basin" is NOT a source of "Tasty Skale Fin". Would someone please verify?

Champs[edit]

[Fool's Scratch] Champ Karka event happens often.

[Abandoned Barrows] Champ Sand Lion event happens often.

But the drop of normal monsters isn't too bad, 1-3 is usually enough, unless the level and magical find has some influence.

elon riverbank[edit]

i just went through this area on three different characters and didn't encounter skelks. maybe they're in a nook i missed. it's also worth mentioning that there are sand sharks on the map nearby, at champion's gap. --Vm0d (talk) 08:53, 11 May 2022 (UTC)

guide for plains of ashford (for bits not found in elon riverlands)[edit]

spiders on the west side of martyr's woods near calhaan's haunt. skelks on the east side of the toppled wall, north of ascalonian catacombs. minotaurs and bats on the east side of lake adorea, next to windrock maze. --Vm0d (talk) 08:37, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
