The point of this?

We don't have articles for the other stat combinations, that I am aware of. Why does Sinister rate? SarielV 15:24, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Looks like it was a redirect up until a couple of weeks ago, when a new user took it upon themselves to expand it. Viper got the same treatment. --Idris (talk) 16:02, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

It's not a bad idea. Only questions I have is a) what category would the pages go in, b) should we have a nav c) what to do with Equipment acquisition by stats since it would essentially be unneeded if the pages are split, no? - Do_odleplex 17:16, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Looking over that page, I think it needs to be streamlined. It's all over the place since it's trying to talk about acquiring Trinkets, Armor, Weapons, backpacks, and their ascended counter-parts. I think it would be better to turn that single page into a (detailed) directory rather than an attempt to summarize methods of obtaining every significant level 80 gear piece in the game. (Meanwhile, Zanryu is over there asking, "Oh god what have I started?")--Rain Spell (talk) 17:38, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

I'm in favour of expanding these articles, but I'm concerned with upkeep effort. There'd be dozens of these articles and they'd all need updating every time new gear gets added to the game, so we'd need to automate as much as possible. --Idris (talk) 17:56, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Zanryu here, the reason why I only started with Sinister and Viper pages is simply because I wanted to have these attribute combination on my characters. After a while using /wiki on the ascended class collection weapons became tedious really fast and I started to make these lists. And I intend to update the other pages as well, when they have enough substance to be called a correct list. Feedback 2022/12/07

I believe that in the Ascended Equipment Accessory and Amulet tables, Ice Brood Saga's Asgeir's Amulet and Asgeir's Talisman are missing. I took a crack at adding the amulet and if I did it right, I'd be happy to add the Talisman. --ZeeWabbit (talk) 20:52, 7 December 2022 (UTC)

Sorry for the multiple edits ... I kept seeing things I should have noticed when previewing! If you do want me to add the Talisman, I would be happy to adjust the other tables for consistent width. I'm guessing that this is not a "mainstream" page since I didn't get any feedback, it's likely still not entirely complete, and some other similar pages appear to be more automated. I went ahead and added the Asgeir's accessory and normalized the table widths in that section (perhaps that only bothers my eyes). In my opinion the detailed section should be just removed as no other stat page has it, and as you noticed yourself it is annoying to keep it updated manually (and there are still hundreds of items missing, sooo) when the automated search (which is also at the bottom of the page) works just fine. ~Sime 00:20, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

FWIW, I take absolutely no offense to my (somewhat) recent edits being tossed completely ... and I can see the logic of reducing this page to something more like Viper's.
