This is my rifle, there are many rifles but this one is mine.... . --87.206.92.6
I'm so gonna use rifles in GW2. =D --My Sweet Rifle 19:56, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
It's "This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine."--Book 20:03, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- His sentence was actually perfectly alright..there are many user pages, but this one is mine 74.103.5.114 18:41, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

What?!?!?!?!?!?[edit]
I dont get how the warrior gets the rifle and the ranger doesn't. It just doesnt make sense, warriors are supposed to be the melee! But then agian, the rangers get swords ...... Gschmechel25 15:16, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
- Sign your comments. Warriors are an all around weapon profession generally speaking. Rangers are supposed to be nature-y feeling. Guns don't fit the concept of a ranger. And rangers get swords so that a) players have more weapon options, b) to get some awesome mobility swordplay and c) to have a melee weapon. Aquadrizzt (talk)(contribs) 03:08, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
- That's not how it is at all... it makes perfect sense for a warrior to be proficient in archery. Ivokk 05:40, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

- That is exactly what I was thinking Neil... :P Anyways, to the OP, think of rangers as Aragorn from LotR. Could you ever really imagine him using a rifle? Eive 06:29, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yea, actually. Aragorn would be twice as badass if he had a rifle. -Auron 08:17, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- Y'always got to disagree with me, huh? Guess I just can't see him ever using one. Either way, rangers are apparently becoming nature-y so using firearms just seems
hypocriticalodd. Eive 08:25, 25 January 2011 (UTC)- Rangers with rifles would be pretty awesome, but I just like guns. ShadowRunner 10:58, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- IDC about guns but I wouldn't want Rifles on a Ranger, because they just don't fit the picture... --The Holy Dragons 11:02, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- In all honesty, neither does a greatsword... ShadowRunner 11:09, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- What about a small greatsword? -runs away- Infinite - talk 12:02, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- well a Greatsword has no mechanism and thus fits the rangers picture --The Holy Dragons 12:04, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Only one profession?[edit]
Does anyone else find it odd that all other weapons are used by numerous professions and yet the rifle and the pistol are both exclusive to a single profession? It makes me wonder if the other unreleased profession is a gunner type class --Yukiro 07:59, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
- They're obviously saving the firearms specialist prof for last. --72.194.109.166 09:38, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
- There wont be a profession specializes in a weapon type. But there will be another user of guns. --AdventurerPotatoe - 13:26, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
I believe by specialiser he just means the profession that can use both types of guns, in the sence that Rangers are the bow specialiser. --79.97.144.31 19:58, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
- It has been said that there would be a profession that could use guns but not bows...and we haven't seen that yet. Personally I hope it will be an engineer-type profession. Zolann The Irreverent 20:19, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
- And now with the current information, both rifles and pistols have found themselves a second user in the engineer. Now we'll see if we'll see a third user for the pistol...--Tuomir 01:40, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
- Aren't you forgetting something? --Seventh 10:02, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- No, he isn't forgetting anything. He mentions both rifles and pistols having two users. Rifles are used by Warriors and Engineers. Pistols are used by Thieves and Engineers. He is now wondering if the last profession will use pistols. - Giant Nuker 11:16, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Moving while firing the rifle[edit]
I recall in an update that now you can use longbow abilities while moving, since it's more "fun" this way. I'm assuming then that the requirement to stand still has been removed from rifle abilities as well?--Scyld 03:51, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- you could assume that indeed, but we'll only change it once its been confirmed and please start a new topic at the bottom of a talk page, Thank you! ;) --The Holy Dragons 05:26, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
