Who ever said Zommoros is this raid's antagonist? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Auroraeleonora (talk).

Yeah, that's speculation imo. —Ventriloquist 18:08, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
I think it was an interpretation of (“in which players will enter the Mystic Forge and come face to face with the djinn Zommoro”) from this massivelyop article: https://massivelyop.com/2018/09/12/guild-wars-2s-next-living-world-episode-a-star-to-guide-us-launches-september-18-heres-the-trailer/ ~ Fishrock (talk) 21:54, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
As the one who added it, yes, I took "come face to face with" as "fighting against" (combined with the images of what seems to be a djinn and construct that would be rather odd as allies). Konig (talk) 21:55, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
Well, we can discuss if he should be listed as a "foe", but this literally says we will meet him, so I've added him to general NPCs. ~ Fishrock (talk) 22:31, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
I would interpret 'come face to face' as meeting him, since we never did that face to face, only through Miyani and the Mystic Forge. —Ventriloquist 10:33, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

Feedback 2018/09/16[edit]

Once the page gets some information, a note might be included stating that this raid requires at least one player with a Jackal with Shifting Sands ability playing as Mesmer with portals, or all players with Jackals with Shifting Sands. Including all foe types[edit]

I'm sure it'll get done eventually, but I'd like to mention that on the final boss there are easily 50 different mob types including new mob types ranging from normal-ranked to champion. It's going to take a long time, but I'll try to add all that I can see. Sythe 06:20, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Maybe we could subdivide this. Keep general foes for the bosses & stuff, and then a separate section for Qadim's menagerie? ~ Fishrock (talk) 16:43, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
Perhaps. I would hope that we could get some more feedback from others how they feel about it. I'm uncertain of how we can add the Menagerie to the foe list. Maybe create another page linking to Qadim's Menagerie and just list that under foes. Also, if someone could create and add the breakable lamp to objects in the npc list that would be fantastic. I would do so if I weren't on the group that always goes into it. Sythe 07:29, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
It may be worthwhile entertaining the idea of putting final boss mobs as ;Various (Qadim's Menagerie) so we don't subdivide a dozen plus times? I see no point in making a subpage for a list of links. Konig (talk) 14:15, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
Aight. I've done this for all the foes that only appear down there, and not for allies. Let me know what you think. ~ Fishrock (talk) 15:06, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

Conjured Amalgamate Mechanics[edit]

So I think we're making his fight way more complicated than it is. (in regards to the HP percentage chart. Maybe I'm wrong, but I haven't noticed any health related cues) From what I've seen, once you kill an arm, he phases. After you kill the second arm he phases again. Then he gets his arms back and hits you with both at once. (regardless of health total.) Kill re-spawned arm 1, he phases. Kill re-spawned arm , he phases. If you're slow on killing arm 2, I think (from a video I watched), that the old arm will re-spawn after a certain time period, but I'm not sure since that was a CM video and I haven't had it happen to me in-game. If you're generally quick about killing each arm, Every time after you kill the 2nd arm and phase, he will spawn both his arms again at 50% health. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rainspell (talkcontribs) at 01:16, September 26, 2018‎ (UTC).

I asked around. So he DOES stop his action at 25% health reached, but it's usually not noticeable since it tends to be when an arm dies. I think that's the only time his health percentage affects anything, so I'm all for removing the chart and just adding a line mentioning the 25% quirk.--Rain Spell (talk) 16:44, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

The mechanic table would probably need a redesign because changing phase can come from finishing a burn phase because it timed out or putting the boss at a specific %:

  • If you put the boss at 50% on the 1st burn phase, the boss will become invulnerable, the Junk Wall will stop and the 2nd arm will start attacking
  • If you put the boss at 25% on the 2nd burn phase, the boss will become invulnerable, the Junk Wall will stop and both arms will start attacking
  • If you don't have enough DPS to put the boss at 50% or 25% after the 1st and 2nd burn respectively the boss will still proceed as usual, putting it at 50% and 25% "only" shortens the burn phase duration

Just found out that Engineer's A.E.D makes them survive the clap. Can someone check if the same is true for similar death-negating skills such as Tempest's Rebound or Rune of the Rebirth? And then add that to the tips section of that fight.

Sorting & Appraisal weekly changes[edit]

So.. the S&A's first event changes weekly... week 1 it was the ectoplasm, week 2 it's megapets. I should note that the starting jackal portal is different this week. Since there are 5 starting portals, I think there could actually be 5(!) different first-events. We'll have to see, and keep tabs on this. ~ Fishrock (talk) 03:49, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

Nikare & Kenut minis bug[edit]

Ok so... either the minis have the wrong models or the raid stuff is... all wrong. In the raid "Nikare" is definitely the brother and "Kenut" is definitely the sister. I've reported this as an in-game bug and I encourage other to do the same. ~ Fishrock (talk) 23:10, 28 September 2018 (UTC)

I just started a talk about the same issue 5 minutes ago :P ~SimeUser Sime Maraca Choya.pngTalk 23:13, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
Yea, people have been mentioning it on the subreddit. I think it's just an oversight by anet and should be fixed soon hopefully. Sythe 02:05, 29 September 2018 (UTC)

Megapets Classification[edit]

Should the megapets have some... creature type classification that isn't miniature? They... aren't exactly "minis"... ~ Fishrock (talk) 16:27, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

I mean, they technically are miniature pets that have been increased in sized. I'm not sure there really is a viable race to put them as, and listing them as Construct seems off to me. Certainly wouldn't be Skeleton etc. as it was before, so I figured until we get something more solid, Miniature would work. Konig (talk) 19:40, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

Rotate Qadim's Menagerie Map again[edit]

I am currently wondering wether the map should be rotated again (revert the changes) to show the rotation it originally has in the raid wing. I don't really see the benefit of having it upside down. Linus (talk) 18:06, 12 July 2021 (UTC)
