Acquisition - none from PvP[edit]

Tested, You don't get awarded Laurels by completing The Daily or Monthly PvP achievements.

I actually just got one from PvP, maybe with the new update. Did PvP daily. After I did that, I didn't get one for regular Daily. Someone confirm.User MadSkillz1o1 sig2.PNG MadSkillz1o1 20:23, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
It was specifically mentioned in the update notes - you can now earn daily/monthly laurels from either PvE or PvP, but not from both. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 21:20, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

Acquisition[edit]

Did people completing the monthly Jan 28-31 get laurels? 75.37.16.51 19:38, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

No. At least I didn't. Konig/talk 19:41, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
A guildmate finished Monthly last night, no laurels. They probably didn't want to make people feel rushed to complete Monthly in only 3 days. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 19:52, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
I'd think it's more of they didn't want to jip those who did monthly before the announcement. Konig/talk 20:07, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. (But what do gypsies have to do with it?) 75.37.16.51 21:12, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
Didn't they say in the first blog post that mentioned laurels that there would be no laurels for januarys monthly.173.88.250.197 21:28, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

Original name[edit]

The page states the following:

  • "Originally, the name for the currency was Crown; it was changed after realizing that the proposed choice has inappropriate connotations in some languages."

What is the inappropriate connotation in other language? It makes no reference to what the problem was or in which languages. 22:14, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

So what? It's probably rude and hence inappropriate for this wiki. It's still an interesting fact regardless. --Combatter 10:51, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
I think the objectional part is about the why it was changed. Saying the source w/o saying the source is a bit off. --JonTheMon 12:51, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
Maybe it has something to do with Australia and their hatred for everything royal. Felix Omni Signature.png 21:51, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

We should remove the part about the inappropriate connotations if there is no source confirming that is why it was changed. Felix Omni Signature.png 18:43, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
There's no source for the use of "crown" either. Until there is, shouldn't we remove the entire line? 75.36.178.170 19:02, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
Probably, but there has been some contention already so it would be better to talk this through before we remove anything. Felix Omni Signature.png 19:08, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
Unless there is a reference, there's no reason to keep the trivia, whether or not it's "interesting".--Relyk ~ talk > 19:21, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
"Originally" trivia notes must have a source, I'd say, otherwise there's no proof that it was ever anything other than what it currently is. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 19:33, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
Maybe they should have called it Keter instead. SarielV 20 x 20px 14:22, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

As far as I can remember since playing from beta there has never been a currency called crowns Grandpa.2074 (talk) 07:14, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

Stack limit[edit]

What is the stack limit for the laurels in the wallet? 100? Is it a waste to try go higher than that? Hencovic (talk) 15:58, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

I currently have over 100, so it's at least beyond that. As it is a currency, it's probably unlimited. --JonTheMon (talk) 16:11, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. Guess I was unsure as I had exactly 100. Hencovic (talk) 16:14, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
There probably is some hard limit as to how far the game can track the amount of the laurels, however, it would be high enough to be impossible to reach.Tuomir (talk) 16:17, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
"Currencies in the wallet will act the same as karma and gold do currently." So basically you can potentially have millions of laurels in your wallet, but that would take a few years... —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 16:24, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
