Chest not doing anything[edit]

when tried to loot the chest it didn't do anything...maybe a bug? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 93.146.142.30 (talk).

the last chest don't works anymore you need to kill the boss to take the daily boss chest (with the gold) plus a normal chest--Gasp10 11:26, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

No explorer reward for doing it...[edit]

I did it all and beat the champ with a bunch of pugs... and we got nothing but a chance to loot that chest unimpeded.Yumiko ^,~ 04:50, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Whoever said there'd be an achievement? Sometimes, the chest rewards are meant to be the reward, not some silly achievement with no purpose behind it (do those points serve any purpose other than e-peen potential?) Konig/talk 08:21, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Keeping the sword[edit]

I don't understand, I acquired the sword, but when I went underwater, it disappeared (could not swap to it). I then proceeded to disable the fire heads (after MANY attempts) but when I got to the room with the statues and approached the one missing the sword, I interacted with it and NOTHING happened. How do I keep the sword underwater? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 96.238.85.29 (talk).

It should remain with you when you go underwater. Konig/talk 23:34, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
To add to this, as soon as you pick up a speargun to disable the fire heads the sword disappears after a few seconds, making this dungeon impossible to do alone. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.168.104.82 (talk).
If you use skill 4 of the sword, it is a projectile and will be reflected back. The only problem is that you can only do 7 of the 8 fire heads. The 8th must be done with a quick bundle swap for the speargun otherwise the sword will reset after about 20 seconds. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.43.8.91:60374 (talk).
Trivia If You use a way point you can still carry the sword outside the dungeon. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 118.90.114.89:55236 (talk).
On a separate sword-losing note, i (human warrior) lost the sword when i was kd at the statues with arrows traps across from them. When I got kd it disappeared. Try to let other with you do any dirty work. Puk 07:13, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

More descriptive please[edit]

Ok I have tried to do this 4 times now and have failed all 4 time (2 of those were code 58 disconnections). none the less the article says "Proceed down to the room below where you entered. Kill the Flame Legion fire enemy to destroy the wall of ice behind him." I have had issues 3 out of the 4 times finding this Flame dude in this room. Can you say where it is?

Go through the portal. Go down the stairs. Mind the traps. Turn left or right? Going left takes you to a room with a mortar in that has no ammo. Turning right takes you to a room that you can dive into but there does not appear to be any Flame dude or any ice wall. More help please. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.168.104.82 (talk).

When arriving into the temple, you come down a staircase. You can go left (empty mortar) or go right as you indicated. However, on either side of the stair case you just came down, there are two more stair cases that lead down to another room which is, in fact, just below the room from which you entered. This is where the flame legion enemy is. Once his life bar is depleted, he becomes invulnerable, smashes the ground with fire three times, and the ice wall busts open. Also, nobody seems to have mentioned this yet--if you destroy one of the three statues in the initial room with the pressure plates, you can take the head of the statue and put it in the empty mortar and fire it at the ceiling. The resulting falling rubble will break the floor, allowing passage. ~Mervil User Mervil Sig.png 16:00, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
I've had this breakable section from the mortar fire, respawn. If you get my drift. The breakable section it takes away came back, when i was backtracking trying to get the sword a 2nd time. Puk 07:15, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

boss chest reward added[edit]

this zone count as a boss event as the dragon event. killing the champion give you the daily chest reward. (plus a normal chest)--Gasp10 16:24, 28 March 2013 (UTC)

Crimson Moa?[edit]

Crimson Moa is listed as a foe in Flame Temple Tombs. But no crimson moas are there -- and there are several Flame Legion charr that are not listed as foes. Okay, I get that Flame Temple Tombs refers to the above-ground area as well as the mini-dungeon, as confusing as that is. The confusion is compounded by the fact that, while this page occasionally refers to the above-ground area, ninety percent of the page refers to the mini-dungeon. So please forgive this reader for being confused by references to crimson moas in what he assumed was a description of a mostly underwater mini-dungeon. I don't know how this can be clarified without tampering with the sacred template. But while the template is meant to promote coherence, it only does the opposite in this situation. At the very least, because the page refers to both the above-ground area and the mini-dungeon, some mention of charr might be included among the foes. 24.13.89.33 00:09, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

Mortar is Broken[edit]

Since the most recent update I haven't been able to get the mortar to activate. Dungeon completely broken The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.242.100.202 (talkcontribs).

Post on the official forums, there's nothing we can do but document that change. —Ventriloquist 10:10, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

Skipping the dungeon[edit]

You will need gliding, as explained in my video. I am not 100% sure that the fount of Rhand can be reached that way.--Ruine Eternelle (talk) 09:07, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

That link does not work. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 50.83.125.160 (talk) at 02:57, 2 August 2021‎ (UTC).
