Talk:Doern Velazquez

This guys seems to be from somewhere that isn't Kryta, Ascalon, Orr, Cantha and Elona. He might not even be human, but something else disguised as one, like Djinns did sometimes in GW1... or maybe he's just messing with our heads. 83.33.102.21 22:56, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

I always assumed he was from Cantha? I don't remember the exact dialogue, but when you first meet him if you choose to join the Order of the Whispers, your character actually says something that hints towards this. Perhaps my next character, I'll copy & paste that dialogue here. 108.45.69.234 (talkcontribs) at 14:26, 14 April 2013 (UTC).
To the above, you can find the conversation in "An Apple A Day".
As for the original question... I'm not saying it's aliens, but... --Rashid (talk) 07:21, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
If I had to take a stab of what he'd be if he wasn't human, I'd suggest possibly a disguised Largos? They seem to be a race of assassins, and while they're from deep arctic oceans, they aren't adverse to spending long periods of time on land, as evidenced by the one that hunts Sylvari in the Brisban Wildlands. Also, motivation for being with the order, disguised, for so long could imply he may be in a debt of honor to the current Master of Whispers -- such a debt being a seriously big deal for the Largos race. ---- ᴥ GreyGhost (talk!) ᴥ 02:48, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
My theory is that he's actually a Mursaat in disguise. Three primary reasons for this: He has powerful magic, so such a disguise would be simple. Mursaat generally are invisible (they used to be called The Unseen Ones) which would make Spycraft a breeze. Finally, if you look at his armor (which is mostly gold, like a Mursaat), he has little Jade daggers strapped to his shoulders, the same type of Jade used to make the Mursaat's Jade servants. Acradius (talk) 18:12, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Doern is never seen using magic as far as I know let alone powerful magic, and his armor is standard OoW armor and colors. I dunno, seems unlikely given his apparent history he lets slip. Konig 14:29, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

what happened to razah that hero from gw1... is it possible he could be doern? - goat

tbh, after reading the Gw1 Wiki text about Razah, [1], I could actually think that he is Doern. It would explain a bit why his Origin is unclear. Even though the Razah from Gw1 acted different then Doern does, this could be experience from living about 250 Years among Humans (if he left the Mists back in 1075, when the Events of Nightfall took place, and stayed until 1325, the beginning of the personal Story), and also the fact that he is a Member of the Order of Whispers would make sense as he joined the Hero of the Nightfall Story, what hints that he probably entered Tyria the World over Elona, aswell as the fact that the Order of the Whispers comes from there. --Xenreas (talk) 08:25, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
Razah looks completely different. Gray skin for one. And there's nothing outright special about Doern's capabilities which would hint at being a being from the Mists capable of using all kinds of magic. Konig (talk) 08:51, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
Well if it would be Razah, he might have had bad experiences in the past and now hides his magic, only using it to alter his appearance. Since normal Mesmers like Countess Anise can do that, I'm pretty sure something like Razah is also capable of that. As Razah is also capable of changing into any class, I'd say changing Appearance and stuff is normal for him. And even with the Revenants using fragments of it, we know nearly nothing about the Magic of the Mists and what it is actually capable of at its fullest. No Hint could also be he is just very good at hiding it. --Xenreas (talk) 12:03, 12 December 2016 (UTC)

Dialogues[edit]

I got the dialog I added with a character already finished with the Personal Story. But the information point to The Battle of Claw Island or Retribution or someting. Balwin (talk) 19:36, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
