Banners in DA:O? Did I miss something when I played it? O.o --User Phnzdvn sig.pnghnzdvn 07:00, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

EW?[edit]

Do we want to count banners and conjured weapons as Environmental Weapons? They seem to work similarly, you pick them up and use them given the skills they have, except these ones are summoned by players. I personally would like to include the objects these skills create as EWs.--Corsair@Yarrr 16:22, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Environmental weapons aren't summoned; they're discovered and earned through activities, so I wouldn't like to include them.-- Shew 16:39, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
PC Gamer's interview confirms that banners are EW. Chriskang 20:56, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Yes, it certaintly appears that banners and other such summoned items work exactly like EW's do mechanically, i.e you pick them up and they change your first 5 skills.--Corsair@Yarrr 21:17, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
I thought they already stated that Elementalists can summon Environmental Weapons. o.o --AmannelleUser Amannelle Me.jpg 23:04, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Indeed. Chriskang 23:21, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Anybody find out the skills that the banners have that replace the weapon bar?--Knighthonor 23:35, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

De-Buffs[edit]

I know we have an article cited, but it's from close to two years ago: are there any known banners that inflict debuffs? Curiosity more than anything speaking here. Would be nice to have. Khamul787 10:43, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

At the moment, there are no known banners that inflict conditions. Looks like they removed that and focused on support only. However, banners deal damage when you summon them traited. Gnarf 08:33, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Traits[edit]

Why shouldn't the traits be listed on every single banner's page? Every other skill has its traits on the particular page listed, too. Gnarf 18:55, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Underwater[edit]

Can anyone confirm that these don't work underwater? 74.233.53.77 19:28, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

They don't, which is something I don't understand because if someone dedicates their traits to banners, then their traits will be absolutely useless underwater.-- shew|make 19:47, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
Many utility skills are like that, so it's a rather moot argument. 108.92.176.211 05:49, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Sic[edit]

Presumably the description quoting 'revives falled allies' is quoted from somewhere to have the [sic] tag attached. Is there a reason why we can't just correct it to 'felled'? 218.250.63.20 09:52, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

It's "fallen". But no, the crazy and senseless wiki rules say that even extremely obvious typos have to be quoted, or else the world is going to end. Gnarf 10:05, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
They're not crazy and senseless, they're logical. If you're quoting something from in-game and identifying it as such, then it has to match what is in-game. That's how quotes work. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:37, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

People stealing your stuff[edit]

I played the beta as warrior and at a random event i planted my banner. The next thing i know, some guy picks up my banner and runs off with it! Never saw the guy (or my banner) again. Letting everyone pick up banners IS a good idea for teamplay but if random people just stroll by, steal your banner and leave you banner-less and the skill on cooldown, people might get upset. I'm thinking stealing the banner is bad for WvWvW when a random guy can just pass my, take the banner and run off with it and deny you and everyone nearby the buffs.Perhaps something like: the banner teleports back to your location if taken *dot amount of distance* away from you would be a good idea?DemonicFahrirUser Demonic Fahrir Sig.jpg 15:44, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

We can't accept suggestions for Anet's use on this wiki, but feel free to submit them at the Feedback namespace on Guild Wars Wiki. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 15:50, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Regeneration[edit]

Today (Stress Test Aug. 15th) I noticed my banners were granting regeneration to all allies, and I didn't have the related Trait. Can anyone confirm this? --Squyres 06:00, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Yes, it's a bug. — Gnarf ~ El Psy Congroo ~ 06:37, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
is the regeneration constant if your in range of the banner or is it periodic? Justice 07:00, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
It's periodically applied, simultaneously with the actual banner buff. — Gnarf ~ El Psy Congroo ~ 08:04, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
So is that to say if your in the area of the banner and stay there the buffs keep refreshing for 100% cover? Justice 08:20, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes. — Gnarf ~ El Psy Congroo ~ 08:49, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
The bug no longer exists. Unable to edit the page to correct it.--131.191.29.76 16:27, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Showing off F2 skills with banner[edit]

How do you think we can show off which banner skill gives to your F2 button? I added the (chain) tag to the skills like we've done to turrets so far to show which each banner adds to your F2. Any other ideas? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.22.88.41 (talk) at 17:56, 28 September 2012 (UTC).

Guild Banners - what about them?[edit]

Since they're called "banner" too, searching for that word ends you here - shouldn't there be a note or something to link to them? (Though there isn't a page for them yet, unless I didn't find it).--Cyberman 19:50, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Added proper nevigation--Relyk 19:56, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Inspire[edit]

moved from main page

"banner moves inspire cast swiftness that increase individual and party speed by 33% both in combat and out of combat. must be held in hand to use ability. ability can be use 5 times before banner disappear. Not sure how many times sprint can be use but sprint end up with attacking nearest foe. inspire can be use for quick movement through terrain and avoiding combat with hostile foes. after 5 usage there is cooldown period, however all banners can be used consecutively so by passing cooldown period for quick travel."

Warrior Banner still Bundle[edit]

Are they still considered bundles? They function more like turrets from engineers (pick them up by interacting with them) and they can not be carried anymore. —Kvothe (talk) 15:00, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
