Shards and chunks are Tier 4 gemstones.

Acquisition

• Harvested from Platinum Ore nodes, or Banyan, Inglewood, or Pine Saplings
• Dropped by elementals
• Transmogrified from lumps by jewelers

Uses

Shards and chunks are universal upgrades that can be applied to any equipment of at least level 50. Jewelers can use them to craft trinkets, upgrade them into jewels, or transmogrify them to higher tier gemstones.
