Protect the engineers while they install ley reflectors in Melandru's Lost Domain

Protect the engineers while they install ley reflectors in Melandru's Lost Domain refers to two level 80 group events that occurs in Gnarlgrove and Mosswood. The goal is to protect an Asuran engineer, either Engineer Madds or Engineer Gris, as they install Crystal Bloom ley reflectors in the Burning Forest. These ley reflectors will guide ley lines to Brandstorm Disruptors, which disrupt the Brandstorm over Dragon's Snare so that the assault on Kralkatorrik can begin. Both events happen simultaneously. All six of these events ley reflector events around the map (2 in the Burning Forest, 2 in the Underworld, and 2 in Melandru's Lost Domain) must complete successfully in order for the Break the Crystal Dragon meta to move forward.

These are the expected rewards for a level 80 player.

Walkthrough[edit]

Follow the engineer through the locations that they want to install the ley reflectors. After they arrive at one of the sites where they want to place one, a ring will appear around them, and they will begin working. Monsters will then begin to spawn outside of the ring and attack. The ring will turn red if there are enemies inside of it, and blue if there are not. As long as the ring is blue, the Mist Warden Reflector bar will fill. When the ring is red (ie: enemies near the engineer), the bar will not fill, and the event will not progress. Once the bar is full for that reflector, the ring will disappear, and the engineer will move on to get to the next reflector. At each site, the engineer will leave one of their golems behind.

Engineer Madds: First stop! Mind the construction zone—I need to concentrate!
Upon finishing the setup of Reflector A
Engineer Madds: One ley reflector, built perfectly to specifications! KR421, engage ley reflector!
Arriving at the second site
Engineer Madds: These are the coordinates for ley reflector number two! Let's get it up and running.
Upon finishing the setup of Reflector B
Engineer Madds: Not bad, considering all the death and mayhem trying to distract me! KR422, activate!
Arriving at the third site
Engineer Madds: Last one. All right, gimme some space. Here we go!

Engineer Madds: That's all of them! KR424, get over here! Bring it all together!

Engineer Gris: All right, golems! You ready to reflect some ley magic? Well, you'd better be, because that's what I made you for!
Arriving at the first site
Engineer Gris: Okay, this looks like the first reflector site. Time to bust out the tool belt!
Arriving to the second site
Engineer Gris: All right, this is the optimal location for a second reflector. The Branded will be swarming here any second.
Upon finishing the setup of Reflector B
Engineer Gris: Perfect! Just perfect. No fluctuations in the beam, and the mirror shows zero imperfections!
Arriving at the third site
Engineer Gris: Third spot reached. I could build these reflectors from memory by now. I'm kidding. I have been this whole time.
Upon finishing the setup of Reflector C
Engineer Gris: Right, that's nearly all of them! Ley beam is holding stead at ninety-nine percent efficiency. Plus or minus one.
Upon finishing the setup of Reflector D
Engineer Gris: I think that's everything! Beam power is at maximum! Reflectors and golems performing to spec!

Notes[edit]

This event can become bugged if the circle around the engineer stays red, despite no enemies being inside of it.
  • The event cannot fail, even if the engineer dies.
