Maw's Rise was the location of the corpse of a giant Ice Wurm, roughly as large as Issormir. The corpse was removed by Scarlet Briar and her minions when testing her Twisted Marionette weapon.

- Its location coincides with the guaranteed spawn location of Maw the Mountain Heart in Guild Wars.
