Introduction (0:26)[edit]

Rubi Bayer: Hey everybody. Welcome back to day 2 of guild week on Guild Chat. That's a lot of, that's a lot of saying guild. We are going to take a look at the second guild hall we have available today. So we are going to jump right. I'm going to let you guys go down the line and introduce yourself. Jesse?

Jesse Christensen: I am Jesse Christensen. I did the environment artwork on both guild halls, actually.

Rubi: Thank you.

Dara Potocska: I am Dara Potocska and I do the QA embedded QA work for guild halls.

Alina Chadwick: I am Seth Chadwick. I do gameplay programming on guild halls.

Rubi: Awesome. All right, so last time we talked to you guys about guild halls. For this week Link and I took a tour of Gilded, gilded hollow. I want so badly to say gilded precipice. I am just merging our guild halls now.

Jesse: That's funny.

Rubi: Gilded Hollow. That is the subterranean and everything is coated in gold. Skritts are losing their minds, when they see it. So today we are going back above ground with the huge sandstone cliffs of Lost Precipice.

Lost Precipice Tour (1:26)[edit]

Rubi: Jesse, do you want to just to start showing us around?

Jesse: Yeah, yeah. I would love to.

Rubi: Sweet.

Jesse: So a quick tour of what we have going on. So like the, like Rubi said the other one, the other guild hall the Gilded Hollow is more of an underground cave. So this one we wanted to make just completely different. So we went the complete opposite, right. So.

Rubi: You did in fact. This is awesome.

Jesse: And right from the start we are going to jump off and glide around for a bit. This is a, this is all about gliding, about having huge height differences

Rubi: Yeah, there is a lot. This is a lot of. We talked about during TwitchCon last week. Verdant Brink, gliding around there and talking about how much use we are making of all the different levels.

Dara: Well, you got to wing it sometimes.

Rubi: 30 seconds. 30 seconds we made it. Carry on, Jesse. Sounds like you want to get up and leave.

Dara: Sorry, go on.

Rubi: That was sweet.

Jesse: So these ruined buildings here eventually you'll be able to restore as you upgrade and progress your guild hall.

Rubi: Set during your Post-Mordrem.

Jesse: Definitely.

Rubi: All right. So these are the ruined building from. We haven't upgraded and made everything beautiful from when the Mordrem had stomped it to pieces. Right.

Jesse: Yeah, there is still broken from.

Rubi: It will start looking better. I am just looking up at how high everything goes up and how. I mean you are just mid level right. You can still go a lot further down.

Jesse: Yeah, there is a whole level below and a whole level up.

Rubi: All right. So where are we now?

Jesse: We are moving up towards the Guild Crystal.

Rubi: Oh hey. Nice.

Jesse: Yeah, those look great right. I love those.

Rubi: I just thinking, what is going on and suddenly you are standing here.

Jesse: With so much verticallity we don't want people to spend so much time running up and down stairs. So we had the great idea of just making jump pads, that really make you just need the glider.

Rubi: Okay. So you don't have to run around on stairs.

Jesse: That's right. So here we have the same crystal thing that we have in the Gilded Hollow.

Rubi: It is just the crystal that gets untangled from the vines

Jesse: Yeah.

Rubi: After you liberate your Guild Hall.

Jesse: The tavern master. And there is some of that verticallity you see right here.

Rubi: Ow Wow.

Jesse: So that's.

Rubi: You know what. After you land, can we take a look at the map view? Just to get an idea of how big a room. Because we have seen how deep it is. So let's see how wide.

Jesse: Yeah, yeah.

Rubi: This is gorgeous.

Jesse: Come on. The glider is a bit.

Rubi: You need to level up your mastery, Jesse. Step it up.

Jesse: Okay. Here we go. Get in the air and fly. So there is a whole lot of space for guilds to have fun decorating and do events, create some shenanigans whatever. Right here I'll pause. You want to look at map?

Rubi: Yeah, let's take a look at the map. So here you are.

Jesse: I am right here, so it's a. Back here is the entrance and it's a lot.

Rubi: Better, it's a lot. So I'm not that worried about running out of room for decorations. Kind of where I was going with this.

Jesse: No, there is plenty of room for decorations. So.

Rubi: Sweet. All right. Sorry, carry on.

Jesse: No problem.

Rubi: Evidently a lot of birds up there.

Jesse: Yeah. There is cliff right here. It fits in the motive.

Rubi: All right, where are we heading?

Jesse: Just around to the outside. More stairs.

Rubi: All right, so we are getting an idea what there is.

Jesse: That central area has most of the services. Over here it is mostly fallen ruins, decor.

Rubi: So I tried to get over those on the left the other day gliding. I was not very good. I ended up kind of smashing in the side. There is kind of an aiming thing that you have to do it right. I was not good at it.

Jesse: Well luckily it doesn't kill you.

Rubi: Yeah, I didn't die. I was just embarrassed.

Jesse: See if I can.

Rubi: Navigating, navigating updrafts so you can get a little further up.

Jesse: That's right.

Rubi: Hmm, cool.

Jesse: Here's the line. That's where you gather resources to separate your buildings.

Rubi: And things we talk about. A little bit that's Ethereum.

Jesse: OK.

Rubi: All right, so. Can we head with the arena?

Jesse: Yeah, yeah.

Rubi: Is that place we can go? I have no idea. Have no idea. If you're close, you might.

Jesse: Be there for all I know outside of the map, so we'll get there and hurry though.

Rubi: The I can't recognize. I can't recognize anything on this map. All I've done so far is fly around, but what I can do here?

Jesse: Yeah. We don't take very. Long to get over there, yeah.

Rubi: So what we're running around, why don't we? I'll pick on YouTube while she's trying to focus on getting where he's going. We talked about, you know, running missions and earning favor to build up your build a little bit where you want to start on that. I mean, once you're starting to build from. The ruins. What's the best way to go about that?

Dara: So when you start getting favor, it's going to go towards building an upgrade. So where do you want?

Rubi: We build the Tavern. 1st right.

Dara: Yes, your first Tavern is going to be the Tavern restoration, so it's basically all these ruins around and you go. I really want to start fixing these things up, and so you'll start with your Tavern. Version one or in any case of any of the buildings, they all start with your first restoration, and when you build it, there's going to be a Ted setup and you're gonna see scaffolding go up and the NPC is going to show up the proprietor, and he's going to basically offer you a lot of upgrades that you can potentially put towards your Guild while they're working on refurbishing and restoring.

Rubi: Nice. OK.

Dara: And then midway up through the building, you get to the restoration too, which means that they finished doing a lot of the outward fixing. And you're gonna be able to start getting the really nice polished looking area.

Rubi: You know, I'm going to ask a question. How many are? These pads pretty frequent through here.

Jesse: Yeah, they're scattered pretty throughout just to provide ease of navigation, OK.

Rubi: I'm going to be making heavy use of those. I suppose I have to ask my Guild and get their opinions, but I am kind of. Favoring this one, even though I love how gorgeous. Don't drag me on. Totally drunk. So can you place decorations everywhere? I mean, anywhere I can see.

Seth: You just pop them wherever you can, place decorations in both places. So we've gone in place some particular design, particular places where you can place locations like you cannot place decorations around waypoints because you could block the hook collision in the place you're supposed to put in.

Rubi: Oh, nice.

Seth: That cause issues. You cannot place declarations, you cannot place non arena decorations inside the arena. But it got filled in equations. Yeah, which I think is tomorrow. But other than that, yeah, most places, that's validation. So you can't place a declaration inside of collision for the most part, you can't place a decoration on the side of a Cliff.

Rubi: OK.

Seth: It needs to generally be on flat land. OK, sweet. Alright, so we are at the this.

Rubi: Arena. It gets better. Right.

Jesse: This is this is.

Rubi: OK. It's kind of busted up here.

Jesse: Demolished the ruin starting state. Mortar Montanans can correct that all these Kangaroos.

Rubi: They had a battle in the.

Jesse: So it gets a lot better.

Rubi: Alright, so the gilded hollow there, it's kind of a modern, very sleek and slick and pretty. This was kind of more of a gladiator feel, right? Just carved of stone, yeah.

Dara: It's a picture like if you read the Priory and you're going in, you're seeing a lot of rooms, a lot of history. And that is the tone. That we are. Looking for with the houses, like you said, it's gonna be really modern and very. Sleek, very polished. Very golden. And this it is intentionally meant to look like it is discovered ruins of temples and civilizations.

Rubi: I'm just, I'm getting to say there's so much to see from. I'm just picturing like 200 Guild members running through this place.

Dara: When QA, we're going through all of this. We're constantly finding new chambers that we hadn't realized existed previously. Jesse has all these little areas tucked away.

Jesse: Yeah, that's the fun of it. Just making little mixing grannies and trying to tell little fun stories with just. Yeah, just little. Bits of discoverable things.

Rubi: So can we upgrade the arena to see what it looks like in its next stage?

Seth: Is this where you'd slide?

Jesse: Yeah, it's like.

Seth: This is the yeah.

Rubi: Or just throw it Taranaki of it.

Seth: Actually upgrading the call here which.

Rubi: Is cheating. You you have to do so. How do you upgrade? Just through the materials that the. NPC asks for.

Dara: So each of our buildings has what we call the proprietor, who shows up. They're usually specialized and, well, not even usually. They're always specialized, and when you talk to them, they will show you all the possible upgrades that that building could offer. And they themselves can offer service for to upgrade. So if you see over in front of Jesse right now. That is actually the restoration one for the arena. So in that area you would have the proprietor who's standing there organizing things, making sure things are kept pretty solid while things are being restored.

Rubi: OK.

Dara: And if you talk to him, he would give you the option to talk about what can I get for my my arena? And you would see a new window that shows up and it would have a tree off to the side within there of icons with names on them and. We show you this is an upgrade for the base, and then here's all of the branching upgrades that you can get. And so you select one and in the next screen over you'll see all of the requirements that you need. So your Guild level or the materials that you need or the amount of favor that you need to earn before you can have? It or the. Amount of Ethereum that your mind is going to have to mine in order to obtain it, right? And then you can improve that upgrade once you meet all of those qualifications and you would see things like. The arena becoming more magnificent.

Rubi: Who gets to make this decision? Who can you? Is it only the guilty or can you just go to the Guild? Panel and set your permissions to you. Gets to me if anyone if.

Seth: Anyone has permissions? To buy upgrades, OK, and you have.

Rubi: Control over those.

Seth: Permissions OK, just making sure I believe it's gildo and offices by default.

Rubi: OK.

Dara: We have greatly increased the number of permissions that adults is going to be able to offer. Almost doubled the number of permissions that. So I think we. You can customize.

Seth: We might have more than doubled, but yeah, it's it's a lot more.

Rubi: Oh wow, it's more flexible.

Seth: We can we can show you that if one people to be up the full panel and. Then go to the panel.

Rubi: Just like I just got. The thing upgraded from we have we have. Time we can look at all of them, yeah.

Seth: I'm saying that's impossible over there. Let's see. So new ones here. We got decorator Wiener decorator separate permissions because decorating the arenas might not be as big of a deal for you. As decorating the rest of. The whole. Yeah, honey.

Rubi: So you can create a new rank and just call it whatever.

Seth: Others want to go.

Dara: We have things.

Rubi: Is that right?

Dara: Yeah, that's correct. We also have things for using the assembly queue or using resonance. So the Assembly is going to be a feature within the workshop and as people create scribing recipes and schematics, those will go into your assembly and you have the option of queuing those things into your assembly that will then allow those objects to be built over time. Or you can hurry them if you spend resonance to create. And in turn, those things will become objects. So worldly world, a lot of those consumables that you guys are going for cleaning their schematics that you create subscribing and they will end up inside your assembly queue and I think. Hijacking a little bit, no.

Rubi: You're all good. I'm. Just making funny ranks while you do that.

Dara: And then say your Guild banners, those will also show up from the scribing station after they created and appear within your assembly. So you can craft banners. OK, so that's the purpose of assembly, but that will. Be all through the workshop.

Rubi: OK. All right. So can we, are we still able to see the area from here? Sorry, because it looks really, really cool in its finished state. I like flags.

Dara: We'll be talking more about the arena and the arena. Features on Thursday.

Rubi: Yeah, I won't. I won't make it go too far. Into it because I have lots of questions. Right. Yeah, I.

Dara: Keep looking. I bet you that I should mention that you should totally mention that.

Rubi: On the arena time during the time right.

Seth: It's not anime. Jesse, did you on the dressing?

Rubi: Probably not. That's addressing more pressure. Off the top. Of your head. You don't have to.

Jesse: I'm not sure.

Rubi: It's OK. Oh, the animated. I found myself. I found myself learning these commands really well over the past week as I made sure I knew.

Seth: What all we?

Rubi: Were talking about. Oh, that's it. I don't think that.

Seth: Is you want.

Rubi: To know that's totally OK. So you mentioned we've talked a little bit about the mine and is it? Yes, ethereum. OK, walking through that a little bit. What is? What is it so OK.

Seth: So the mind is the thanks man. Friends of mine, the second building that you can make, so all the buildings have a papaya. That's your point of contact. So the my. Paedo coga I think.

Dara: Yeah, like we call it guys, yeah. Call guys.

Seth: OK. So you're saying we call it, I think I might. Be pronouncing the name but decided on.

Rubi: Call yesterday so. Got it.

Seth: OK. We'll we'll ask you. I think I think there's some resources here that could, you know, profit us somehow, like allow us to put us up. And so if you do these resources then help use building this fine so you get other resources which we'll talk about how you do that and then you get the you get the mine. The mine then will start producing a new Guild currency called Ethereum. Uh, and I think medium is it's a time gate, but it's a it's a pre time gate. So in the current upgrade system, when you buy an upgrade, it takes 3 days to get created. Right now we figured that that was a little disappointing. You'd be like, oh, we finally got enough influence or you wouldn't cause fluid is good. But to build this.

Rubi: To work for.

Seth: That stuff, too. Yeah, small guilds anyway.

Rubi: So you finally got enough stuff, but you have. To three days.

Seth: So when when you actually, when you actually get it, you might not even be online, there's not really that moment of celebration. So instead of waiting while you still wait, but now it's, hey, this particular thing costs 100 helium. You gain one Ethereum every 160 seconds at current wait. So that means do some math. You got to wait. X amount of time before you can get this thing. Oh, we've got it now. We've got enough. Let's build it. Let's celebrate.

Rubi: Do this thing.

Seth: We got a moment.

Rubi: So can you upgrade the mine or do anything to? Make Ethereum come faster. Yes, yes, there's there's 2 stats.

Seth: You can change the mind. There's capacity and weight, so the weight makes the obviously makes you get a thorium faster capacity changes the. Cap of how much you can store.

Dara: And there will be points at which you'll hit upgrades that require more capacity than you can actually hold, and so you'll probably want to consider like, not abandoning your mind and keeping that up to date as you build. Up the rest of.

Rubi: OK, that's a good hint. Thank you. For that, yes, yes, this helps.

Jesse: Me set priorities. All right, so is that the mine over there? So this is the first level of the mind as you like, I said. Get further along the upgrade path and it gets deeper and bigger, so there's a lot. More depth to. It there is.

Dara: There's a lot to dig.

Rubi: We need, like we need like. A dark pun. Marker behind me, just like. Well, that works every time a pun happens. Right. So do you get to see this stuff? I actually don't know this. I'm just, how much can I? How much can I? Dig into this and you see the stuff getting produced. Or does it look like something I as you as you upgrade it?

Seth: So there's two types. Of upgrades says mainline climate upgrades. I don't think we ever gave it a name, and there's secondary upgrades. The main line upgrades, they change the look of the. Building in question so the mine has the most. It has six. If I call back I think.

Dara: 123, OK.

Rubi: You get me all excited about how many. I can have.

Seth: And just yeah, each one of those, each one of those will make the mine get deeper, more exposed, whatever depends on depends totally whatever. Whatever magic Jesse decides to do, the other buildings have same thing. So we just saw that with the arena. Dwina has two stages to make my upgrades. The first one wait so tense, and the proprietors will all walk and stand among that. Second area and then once you give them enough resources to fund the second line, update the tab happen. The arena will continue, finish being restored. It'll look its final look. Final form and all those providers will have into the arena Papa and OK.

Rubi: I didn't see that. So we might wanna give that.

Seth: Yes, we are still working on the.

Dara: Same before lunches. What's the date of the analyse that the collision is always put in with? The rest of it.

Rubi: Now, there's once you cheat enough. Yeah, it's all good. I found that I found that recently when I was just again using our two dev hacks to get around their consequences after. You do it so often.

Dara: Yeah, actually understand. I'm inside rock for you. We actually do that where we try to enforce everybody making sure that we do this as naturally as possible and testing because when you use those sheets that it can often. Validate a lot of what we're looking for. If we find a. Bug and we found it through. Oh, that makes sense. Yeah, because.

Rubi: We're definitely not. Going to have a repro for. Yeah, interesting. And that's a little into Q, yes. Thank you. All right, so. We've been talking about upgrades and I'm I'm really distracted. I'm gonna have to just do this and not look because I keep getting super distracted by how cool it looks and how much I love this because I've been a sucker for gliding. The whole time we've been testing all of this.

Jesse: It's been the most fun I've had. They're doing a lot of jungle maps and it was great to be able to build where we were able to, you know, use highlight gliding as like one of the main.

Rubi: Yeah, that was awesome.

Seth: And stuff.

Rubi: I have to confess though, I was really tempted by Gilded Hollow when I came across that script running around just losing his mind. About all. The shiny and I followed that little guy for something like 5 minutes. Is he OK?

Dara: He just does. He can't even cope with it. Well, in the goals we actually like girls team, we have a small competition going to debate how many of you are gonna pick heights. How many of you gonna pick the gilipollas? And it's for similar reasons of the debate. Like, are people going to pick the last precipice year because they like to fly, or are they going to go for the Golden Hollow because it's very lovely or and like my case, I think that everything is.

Rubi: Like this?

Dara: More conveniently located together. And is more efficient. You cannot do that.

Rubi: You cannot do that. Strike that in the record immediately and now we.

Dara: Strike that.

Rubi: Know what side you're on. So what's at stake now?

Dara: I'm curious. I don't think we ever had an actual later.

Rubi: Just a friendly debate. Making love gold or something. Somebody gets jammed.

Dara: Bonnie Billy Hollow has all the goals you possibly need.

Rubi: This is really unfair. I'm gonna be hearing from the rest of QA having their moment and gonna have like a. Guild debate or? Oh boy. Oh my gosh, that's alright. So now that Dara has finished swinging the swing vote in.

Dara: Her favor? Well, because is also, like in favorites such.

Rubi: As we didn't see Kenny. Doing that, we were just disappointed with ourselves after.

Dara: Well, we. The stream when we realized that. We had it. Link is very pro lost precipice so yeah, this is true.

Jesse: That's right.

Dara: Sorry like.

Rubi: You don't look a little bit sorry and I'm starting to question how he got sick. Alright, so do you guys.

Jesse: There's a toaster.

Dara: Oh, a little toasty.

Rubi: That was like 9 where like 9 puns now. Alright, so do you guys have more? Upgrades. You talked.

Seth: About, let's actually see. The panel? Sure. So let's go find that fellow that set the entrance. Oh, yeah.

Dara: Ohh we've got.

Seth: I don't know his name because it's all noonish. Tavern guy. Kevin guy. I think it's with. A G.

Jesse: I think he's actually here that is on.

Rubi: Yeah, central waypoint. I can look at this. Look at this homework. A four way points.

Dara: Not that guy.

Seth: We want to talk to him.

Dara: You just stay there for.

Seth: It was for that.

Dara: The yes for the.

Jesse: It's not the gold crystal so.

Dara: Yeah, he's up by the crystal.

Jesse: It's notary.

Seth: So he has an icon so. If we view them.

Dara: Look for the the ALE mug.

Rubi: There you go.

Dara: There is.

Rubi: Oh, handy. OK. Yeah, he's over there.

Dara: Another feature that is really nice that actually stuff put in for us is every time one of your proprietors is offering something new for your Guild on the mini map or on the world map, the icon that hovers over their head, you'll notice right now on the mini map that there is a little red circle with exclamation point, and that means that there is an upgrade available. That you haven't seen before and so you can talk to that, yeah.

Rubi: There's nothing. We we do seem a friendly sort. We are good people. All right, So what can this? Guy do for us.

Jesse: You need.

Seth: To hook up the tab versus. No, no, no. He should totally should have. Bought a UI are. You have permission in.

Jesse: This game I hope so I made it.

Rubi: 3rd work.

Seth: Well, that's.

Rubi: The captain is hard working. I don't even. Trust you to do anything. With it, he was just talking. OK, he didn't. Wanna be right?

Dara: Interested so. Keep in mind that these classes are currently still. Being balanced but. This is your upgrade panel and if you want to anything. Before I start into it.

Seth: No, that's so I'll talk about you see, you see at the very top, there's one update and then a bunch of under that. That's the main line, buses, other updates I'm talking about so.

Dara: That's it. Go ahead with the Ethereum that Seth was earlier as you gain and spend, your Ethereum is going to be tracked in that lower Ethereum. Box that's below the tree of upgrades, and right now you're seeing that because we actually have a mind that the maximum you're at the maximum rate you can potentially get. So it's going to say you're at the maximum rate, which of course is 0, but if we had the mine upgrade number one, then you would actually see that that capacity was a certain number and that you were getting a certain date and it would have a timer in place of Max. So it be counting down, you know, like how long do I have to wait before I get? One tick of Ethereum so you be able to use that inside of any of your upgrade channels. And like Seth also saying your first major main upgrade is going to be the top of the tree and let's say for some reason that you were curious about well, what can I get further down the line. So are you upgrading? Usable building.

Jesse: I thought.

Rubi: Do I?

Dara: You missed one, so build building. So while he's doing that, I'm going to.

Rubi: Like a long. That's OK. I was trying to do the other day and. Now I understand why I was doing. Very same thing.

Dara: All right, so. Magic just happened.

Rubi: Oh, look at that.

Dara: So Mcken has been hard work at making a lot of these cinematics to put in. So every time you build your. You're gonna see somatic as they construct it?

Rubi: That's new. I haven't seen it the last time I went to this.

Dara: Purchased it gambling there he is going to start running for the Tavern and he's going to hang out there and that's where he's going to be located until you build the next version of the Tavern. He's got a pretty long path in. Heights so we can actually we.

Seth: Can get.

Rubi: Him there. He hasn't unlocked gliding. I'm assuming no. He just ran up the beer, beer, beer, beer. Beer. Yeah, I mean.

Dara: He's norms are. Gonna be a little bit more like I would tough it out and be done.

Rubi: So he's just he thinks he's mainly for wedding because he's he's he's very wrong wedding.

Dara: For lighting I think.

Rubi: Taking my morning light. So we have the we have the cavern tent. Is that your name in? That or.

Dara: It is the type of restoration. Building one, OK and. The other other prior that you see here is when you first because we have an order of how you do your upgrade. So you have your first and then you get your mind and then you get your workshop. Following that you're able to build within reason because you're gonna have a level root for your buildings, you'll be able to build upgrades in any order following that, and they'll be prerequisites for some of the updates as well, like some upgrades. Like oh, this can't be built until I actually have this upgrade here, because it's that made this possible. OK, so in the case of the Tavern, a lot of the upgrades further down in the tree, even though you might be the level that is, you can use it, it won't allow you to build it until that particular upgrade has been built.

Rubi: So it's almost like building on this foundation. Of upgrades you need to get this thing before you get that build on that correct. OK, so looks like you made it is here.

Dara: Ready to assist us? He's never seen that.

Jesse: OK.

Dara: He has.

Rubi: To talk about I love meeting new people. Bring all your goodies to by all.

Seth: Periodically we ship these things actually scenes and not. Just at a. Time of night. Yeah, we have to.

Dara: Wait, your link is still putting all of that information in. But all of our proprietors have their own personalities and are really interesting, and link has back stories for many of them are special like this is systematic.

Rubi: Has he really stressed?

Seth: Some of them go back to this. In the Guild initiative office.

Rubi: And stuff so. Lots of tie into the different areas. All right, so we can maybe at the moment I have no idea. We can keep upgrading this and make it really. Really nice looking.

Dara: It might be interrupting someone.

Rubi: Regrouping someones work? Yes. All right, so you upgrade it. You can create one more time, right to make. It the really good looking.

Dara: Yeah, it'll be further down the road. You probably have to be. I don't give any level at this point, but how you'll experience works and how the level system works is for every major building that you're gonna get about 100 Guild experience for every minor upgrade you're gonna get about 35 experience. And so Azure build levels. Then you can start getting access to.

Rubi: Those upper tiers so you can build the 2nd tier of that restoration project gotcha that makes sense as your Guild advances as your Guild levels up, your Guild hall gets better and better you. Have more stuff in there correct?

Dara: So right now you can build upgrades that are dated by level until your level 40, at which case there'll be no more upgrades that have well correction. You can get to level 40 really easily, like the highest level that need to be level. 40 but you? Can you can get upgrades beyond that? And so I think the highest. That we've been getting now is about 80, so.

Seth: Basically saying is there is no upgrade that we're going to share is going to. Require a level higher than 40.

Rubi: Yes, there we go. To the FPS because it's super pushy.

Seth: Let's go to the office. Yeah, we totally meant to.

Rubi: Do that. That was really flaky.

Dara: Got it.

Rubi: Guys I am incredibly impressed. Yeah, yeah, I know. It's helpful to people who aren't us, but it's.

Dara: Good, cool for QA as we do all.

Seth: Our passes OK after the white into the corner that would be. And for. That's where the. There we. Over here. And through those ones, the other big.

Dara: One so not yet with the other one.

Rubi: So real quick, I want to clarify something just reminded me since we went into this whole that we talked about yesterday, this is kind of. Your first Guild hall right? Kind of. This is. This is a place for kids to go before you've liberated lifestyle. Hello yeah.

Seth: So one thing to keep in mind, this instance isn't very big. So it's only set to five. We may change that number before before share. We'll see. Number of people can go here, but what happen is the first five will be in in in an instance next 5 will go into the next. Instance next 5 will go next instance.

Rubi: OK, good. I'm glad I asked about that because I was thinking after we talked. Wait a second, does that work? So you do have things, but how many people can go in here?

Dara: Right. OK. Here we go. So if you wanna click one of the upgrades below that first one. So we wanted to talk really quickly and yesterday while I've been talking about Treasury and stuff and things can go into the Treasury, there was one that we wanted to bring up, which was the fact that bold doesn't actually go into your treasury. So what that means is that whoever is your guilty or your officer, the person knows the rank permission to. Purchase upgrades. They're gonna have to have that money on them.

Seth: So and there's no update that cost. Gold in the Guild hall. Yeah, it's only gonna be here. The notary gold is basically the replacement conceive. So we'll talk in a moment about the Treasury. The Treasury is how you pool your resources to expose it to the Guild upgrade system. Gold is what you used before you've unlocked or learned about the Treasury, so everything in the office, I think. Everything in the office before you get a bill for sure only costs gold. Oh, well, OK. Costs gold in favor. And yeah, that'll come directly from your from your inventory. It's still logged. So if you look. In your history. I'm mainly wondering if I checked.

Dara: In yet how you have actually don't show it yet.

Rubi: We are you guys are working so hard.

Seth: OK.

Rubi: By the way. I should probably take a second and. Thank you all. I've talked to people who I was chatting with them. I was talking Brian Miller last night and it was like something like 8 o'clock 8:30. And he was like, man, I'm still at work. I can't. I can't come out. And that is not unusual these days. So yeah, big thanks to everybody working on this.

Dara: Right. So let's see.

Rubi: So yeah, so can we show?

Seth: So those are the cost only gold. Now the other upgrades cost items are going to require you to use the Guild Treasury, which will require to go back to the Guild. Also, we can do that.

Dara: So why don't? We actually use the. Guild hall button.

Seth: We gotta look at that.

Dara: Yes, click the button now button matching.

Rubi: But just the ones so. It's OK. So you'll treasury is for people to. Is this what we're talking yesterday?

Seth: You can deposit into it. Yes, there's two ways to access it. You don't access it. You either it's. It's a tab on the update panel. So when you talk to other providers, you can access the tree from there, or there's. A treasure that is somewhere. So this is a problem. Everything else in.

Dara: He's near the central, so we'll always have an NPC that is hanging out right in the middle of the hall. For the treasury. Yay seems just like waypoint there. Ideally yes. OK, alright, so this is your treasury. We talked a little bit about this yesterday, but what's gonna happen is all of those items down below with the exception of the temporary icons. Are many men in?

Rubi: Hard hats, yes.

Dara: Are going to be requirements that you need. At some point for your hull that we currently have an upgrade. Available for. That treasury right there is never going to show an item that you can donate, that you don't have an an upgrade that is actively requesting it. So say using my apple analogy from yesterday that luckily was a karma item, and therefore you guys can destroy the. Market after I. Brought it up.

Rubi: Yay, we went straight to the hospital. After we went there yesterday.

Dara: Been very fruitful for people. It is. Yes, that was thinking. So one of the. So if an apple was one of the requirements for an upgrade that we could currently actively get at the moment that we opened the Treasury, it would appear as an icon within that Treasury UI right there. And if you had those apples in your inventory and they could still be donated because the maximum that had that was needed by the Guild. Have not yet been donated. Those items would actually appear in the items to donate section of your panel for the Treasury there, even though your your inventory might have several different types of materials, it will only show the items that you can actively donate. And when you click on those, they go into the your contributions section of the UI and there would be a confirmation window that shows up a button and you press it and it would say like, hey, you sure you want to actually donate this and you can say yes or maybe go, I don't know. I kind of hold on to this because. There's some. There's a crazy Apple core precursor that I've tried to craft. And so not a real thing.

Rubi: Again, not a real.

Jesse: Thing this is all theoretical. I'm sorry apples. So I've just totally blown where I was going.

Dara: With all of that, I'm sorry. So then you be able to donate the item, you will not be able to donate more items than can currently be used for an upgrade. I know a lot of you on Reddit and on the forums after yesterday's stream are feeling a little confused about that and so actually the maximum number that you can actually hold at that period, if you covered it over, yeah, if you hover over the screen and over the number that is displayed under it, that's actually the maximum number that you'll be able to hold at that period.

Rubi: Perfect.

Dara: From upgrades that you might have available in. Your hall so. That hopefully answers a few questions from people or concerns concerning. That so if?

Rubi: It has 350 of those planks. You're not going to be able to. Put more in and just lose them into the ether, correct?

Dara: You won't be able to see any of those items showing up in your items to donate, and even if you drag. And drop items or from your inventory window into here. That will be allowed.

Rubi: Either you just really get rid of that. Stuff I have to. Ask it's driving. Me crazy is that actual shovels like silver way shovels that it's wanting. Let's see the economy.

Jesse: A lot of.

Seth: Hey, something something apparently.

Jesse: It yes. Interesting.

Rubi: All right.

Dara: That's probably a line upgrade, probably.

Rubi: Public. Oh, that makes sense.

Dara: So yeah. So as decorate is doing a lot of our balancing for our upgrades. And so he's going through all of the upgrades and he's systematically going. Through and deciding like if I was building a mind, what would I expect would be needed? And so in that case, you've got the shovels.

Seth: And one thing to stress, if you put something in your contribution. It's not actually contributed if you don't click confirm, yes.

Rubi: OK. I'm sorry. What does the mind need? Pie for.

Dara: Well, the pie might not belong to that it.

Seth: OK, you've got to feed the walkers, all right.

Dara: That is.

Rubi: True, I can. I'm totally with that.

Jesse: We're going to keep movies.

Rubi: You can stop. Looking at it going my. Pie for what kind of pie is that?

Dara: Which is.

Rubi: I did not even. Ask all right. Good to know and Oh my gosh, I. Have so many those totems. I'm going oh. My gosh, I have a lot of.

Seth: This stuff, right, that's that's set. That is going to change as you progress guilt because the set of upgrades that are currently available for you to purchase is going to change as new upgrades. In that you're able to purchase because you've basically whatever those things will appear as in you know as things should.

Dara: Other materials that you should be expecting to from the the different grades are building is we're going looking for things are from all around the world. So things that you craft are going to be used, things that you gather are going to be used. There are things that are gonna come out of our new maps that you're going to have to want to get your build together and get. In and debt. So there's it's it can be very universal for things that you want to get and some very excited making gathering a lot lately.

Rubi: Just because I've been feeling that my inventory is empty of certain things and I'm running a lot now. I'm just really hoping it makes those things. OK. All right. So does that kind of coverage or do we have any more stuff to? Go through I feel. Like it was a lot. It's a.

Dara: Lot of stuff, I'm. Going to do. I don't know what are we doing on time. Maybe we can answer anybody's questions. We can do it.

Rubi: Really question. Yeah, we are actually OK on time. We have about another 15 minutes if we want to take questions from you guys, Mark and Matt here, we'll see if there's some of. Those we can answer, yeah. Now if you get lost, the guilt, the guilt guide in the in the Guild panel is kind of gonna help you find your way again, because I don't know. Look at this the first time. Kind of overwhelming and I kept having. To go back and oh, wait a minute.

Dara: I don't how does this work, right? So the guy as you're seeing now with Jesse, he's clicking through. We talked a little bit about it yesterday, but maybe going a little bit more thoroughly. So when you first make your build or when you log into the game with a Guild that. Has existed before we launched expansion. You're gonna have we called actions up here. OK, these are going to be things that appear in bold at the top of the guide list, and players are going to be able to look at that and go alright. So if I start here, this is a good place for me to start and that you can do that. So in this case, the first task that I Guild and Jesse's case is going to be asking is go build from the, buy a upgrade from the Guild notary. And so he's gonna go to the notary. He's going to look at the different upgrades they have. He's gonna go. I think we can go for this. And so in addition to having that particular by a notary, I believe there's one for favor as well to build missions. And you also have that prompt to go out and do admissions, so you can earn the favor that you need. And so. It should walk.

Rubi: You through to explain things a little bit? So Mark is giving us a couple of questions. Not sure what you guys are able to answer and who who have you. So if you find something that you are able to answer, just grab it. I can tell you that the five person limit is not for Guild. So no, we're not going to give you.

Seth: I'm not saying that it's not for gills. Gills work differently. Yeah, which I talked about the gills. Work is the. So if you are a single person and you are real, you all spun up a small bill. Currently the limit for that is five if I recall correctly. OK, so let's assume it's 5. Four other people joins, and I have five a six person joins. They are now going to join. In medium sized Guild Hall I have no idea what the number is. Everyone in the five Player Guild is going to get message saying hey large instance available for you. You can then say Oh no, no, no. We want to stay here, in which case you have a 5 minute time I believe is early or you can say go right away. Oh wow. You will then be transported to the new instance. It's actually in testing. It's like a half second load because it probably depends on the sofa. The client already has that map loaded, so the you don't. You don't have the meat from disk load time, so it's very fast, so it's the same deal hall, just bigger. Yeah. And you say the same spot, so it's pretty seamless. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So then so, yeah. So then you want allows more people it can. It goes all the way to 100. So you have 200 people.

Data: Yeah.

Rubi: OK, awesome.

Dara: Awesome, ill bank. Yeah, we're having to like direct market. So some of the questions about the Guild bank that looks like it came up is if you have a Guild bank currently on live that does get grandfathered into the expansion. So if you have your Guild stash upgrade currently purchased, when you get when you get the expansion and you load into the office, you're gonna have an NPC in there that gives you access to the Guild stash without you actually need to go and claim. So you still have access to that. All your items will still be in there. All your money, if you've donated money into it, should still be there as well. If you've got the other two Guild bank upgrades, which is the Treasury in the deep cave, those will also be grandfathered over with the same rules. You still have your items, you still have your cash.

Seth: We can answer that influence question.

Rubi: Yeah, that is a.

Seth: Good one influence gone, not not a thing anymore. Any any influence you have when when the expansion hits will almost become useless almost. The reason I say almost, you know, give yourself influence. Now that is so you won't be able to gain influence anymore, but there is a way that you can sync the influence that you would have the influence you already have and get something we do. I want to give.

Rubi: All the commands.

Seth: And so we'll take a look at that and just. A moment here as.

Dara: Soon as 10.

Rubi: OK. So this might be part of what day's gonna answer, but like my Guild has been cranking out a lot, we've been using a lot of influence on banners. Yeah, just to have them. So do we still have you still have those?

Seth: OK, so you have. You have a choice to make people expansion. Do you want to spend all influence on Mamas and stockpile banners? You, you got that value out of it, or do you want to hang on to the influence and use it for these things, which I think is balanced? In fact, and so is the.

Rubi: Other one that you want to use it for. I think I was like.

Seth: Balanced better.

Rubi: My Guild. Please don't hate me. I'm about to learn something cool because I have been the.

Seth: One clicking the make a banner button, so now there are three influence traders.

Dara: No, it should be over here in the corner, but.

Seth: But I don't think you don't have enough. So the people who trades don't show up if you don't have enough fuel. Yeah, got. Also, whoa, I'm a very active field. Number I'll set the cool like NPC padding tech going on in here.

Dara: So because I use the command going.

Seth: To leave the office and come back to the dynamically. We'll see.

Rubi: OK.

Seth: OK, not worry about it. If that's the case, I can never. Hit that. That's the influence.

Rubi: OK.

Seth: That one is in the initiative office, I believe, also in the Plaza and Guild Hall that Twitter will trade influence for favor.

Rubi: OK.

Dara: Run and lift here.

Seth: He spends 10,000 influence. And blah. So let me just take off.

Dara: Many off? Yeah, because we spent all the influence we have.

Seth: Yeah, because.

Dara: He's gonna leave because clearly we. Can't give him. Any other other?

Rubi: You are of no more use.

Dara: Business. Yeah, so 24 hour being able to purchase, yeah. To me, I'm.

Seth: That's a daily limit for how much you can purchase and. And I don't know how much you can pay. I think probably. One for four. OK, I. OneNote OK, I'm not positive on that. There's two others. One is 1 appears with the workshop and that person will allow you to change influence into. Yeah, but we've got a name for it. Ethereum presence, resonance.

Rubi: OK.

Seth: And residence residence is so currently alive. You can take. You can use your influence to instead buy upgrades. So we still have things that take time, which we'll talk about them all and those are a scribe creates schematic. You put the schematic in the queue and now it processes. These are things like banners and whatnot, so things those things take time to build, someone has to assemble them. However, you can still buy off that time, and now it's in one chunk and not four. OK, and that's done with. And I now forgot the name again.

Dara: Presents resonate one day.

Seth: Thank you.

Rubi: Seriously in awe.

Seth: And so there's an influence trade off that spawns there. If you still have influence that allow you to trade your influence to residents, just give you a. Stuff and that's also limit how much you can do today.

Rubi: I don't know what is the meantime, just kind of waypoints for. Everybody in the Guild.

Seth: Yes and.

Rubi: OK.

Seth: There was one more that's that spawns with the mind and that one. This is my favorite, so I'm not sure if it's actually useful. That one will give you a stone boost stone weight boost. So if you buy that it will, your stone will come in like 2% faster I don't. Know the numbers once again, but.

Rubi: Some percentage faster, faster.

Seth: Certainly two which could just give you that edge against that other Guild that you're competing with to be world forced in whatever.

Dara: Well, first arena, right.

Seth: You want to be, yeah.

Rubi: There we go all.

Dara: Good to know, yes.

Rubi: You're welcome for all the tips. So I see one that we kind of addressed before we were talking about. How you need theum and it it accumulates over certain amount of time. So a super rich player can't just create everything and just start pushing gold around and. Creating everything immediately correct.

Dara: But there will be some things that you can purchase of the trading post. There are going to be things you have to go out into the world in order to obtain. And of course, you also got the etherium gating which will actually allow a lot of our smaller bolts to keep up with like the mega guilds, because we estimate that it's going to be. And let me give you the official numbers. Whoa, official numbers something. Well, not official. It's easy.

Rubi: OK, math is not raising his problem so. I can't get out.

Dara: So they believe he believes that it's going to take a minimum of six months for a double with 10 very active players in order to build all. Of the items that are in the Guild hall.

Rubi: OK, so this isn't just a here's a thing that. You can do for 24 hours and think done and there's nothing else to do. Yeah, this is gonna be a nice. This is you guys.

Dara: Process something for you to actively work on. And not just sit around and go like, oh, here's the money. I'm done. Now what do I do? I guess I can go play with this. Ideally this will give you guys opportunities to go out into the world, do activities together and build up your hall consistently so. You have like constantly.

Rubi: Have something to do with your Guild. OK, I have a related question. We were talking about training and influence and I was. I made a joke about. Free or discount waypoint, so that cost merits, should I? Burn through merits too. Yes, yes. Get rid of your minutes. Do they do anything after hot lunches?

Dara: No yards are gone.

Rubi: OK, Mr. Use the merits. And if other bills or anything like are capped out.

Dara: Yes, you can use them for things like purchasing 25 banners, making sure you've got all your banners and you're like if you're Guild events, if you've got that unlocked because those banners and stuff do carry over. So if you've got them, if you've got them currently, when you roll over into expansion, you will still have. Those 25 items of that consumable?

Seth: So many hero banners, so many hero banners recently that 25 is new. We recently upped that caps to allow you more space to stop.

Dara: So some people are asking about can we invite other people in our Guild hall, like people from other guilds or people? Without a Guild targets. Yes, the ferry do you want? To talk about so.

Seth: The way you can can we exit the office and show that UI. So the way you can the two ways can do all three ways. You're gonna push the button, or you can use the waypoint on the world map. Or you can just walk to the thing in the world. So let's walk to the. And here you see we got a UI that asks you what Guild you want interval. Now your options here are every Guild that you are in that has permission to be in this map that they have the Guild. For example, it's the office so that we build or well, and every Guild that has a. So every person in your party that is in that map so party or squad and that's. The distinction. So yeah, so if you want to let someone into your build hole, then put them in your squad and then into Guild Hall, then they via you know either way the either using waypoint or going through the portal and then see that list and they see you in that list and say oh I want that and later gotcha OK. That makes sense if you want to invite a large group of people because they you invite them in the arena then. The squads the way to do that squad invite everyone to that squad. Now you've got. I don't know, maybe. You can be in squads a lot. OK, a lot decent.

Rubi: I'm saying the UI a lot. OK. So we're getting kind of close on time. Everybody pick a question and then we're out of time. You get three more.

Dara: I like the pun one.

Rubi: If that's. Yeah, you can go through the procedure for changing rules, OK? And you can answer that question because that's just so bad.

Dara: It's good. So did that. The fun question was, can Derek confirm that apples will not be needed for any core upgrades? Well, I'm sorry guys, but the very essence of an apple is its core.

Rubi: All right, you get 3 1/2 questions. I refuse to give. That full credit for question alright, so changing.

Dara: All right. So one of the what if you guys asked us what's procedure for changing Guild calls? So let's say that we've we've got really we got really excited and we went and got the loft precipice first and you realize the errors are four ways and read essential totally not happen.

Rubi: I think that we would would.

Dara: We wanted to Gillian Hollows, and So what we can actually do is we can go. Into the office. And we can talk to Kaga over here and she will give you the options to go forth and claim the Gilded Hollow. And when you go through, if you complete the expedition. Possibly you then swap halls, so you will no longer have the losses, but you now have the gilded allows any upgrades that you had in the previous hall are transferred over to the new hall, so you are gonna lose any progress by doing this at most. But you're losing. Is that 100 gold to purchase the expedition and the favor. And actually, you can unlimit these swap between the two if you feel that inclined to do so.

Rubi: The whole expedition and kill all the things.

Dara: Yes, but if you really like the expedition and you. Wanna do it? Again, you could spend $100 every time you.

Seth: And and made the money.

Rubi: Free Guild, where everybody's pitching in the expedition was kind of fun. And granted, I was totally cheating through it. I was thinking I can't wait to do this with my Guild. If your Guild is.

Dara: Willing to pitch in that 100 gold? That could be something to do. I mean, you can make it a week activity like this week. Guys, we're gonna do the last precipice and we're gonna own it. And so during the week, you all maybe given a couple cold and at the end of the week you have the sum that you might think you need. You might go out and do a Guild mission to get the favor and then that be your Guild event for the week and then you decide, alright, next week we're gonna swap over and do this one and then you go and you purchase and.

Rubi: You swap over.

Dara: So it is an. Option for you guys for if you really like the expeditions. If you'd like to continue doing that and experiencing that, OK, cool. And one more note though, As for.

Seth: When you lose access to Old Guild Hall so you can have one Guild hall and 1 expedition at anytime. When you get the expedition, you don't lose access to your bill. Until you complete.

Rubi: The expedition? OK. So you're not just without a Guild hall until you finish off. You're not just running around up there going well. Yeah, too bad. Good clarification. Thank you all.

Jesse: Right, So what do you think, Jesse? Yeah, I'll wait. And there's a question about are the decorations with collision detection and. Decorations on top of other. Decorations in order to give people.

Rubi: The seitan of decorations.

Jesse: Right. Well, we. Went for the full we'll let people just place decorations and stack of the decorations on top of others just to give them all the creativity that they can muster. So there'll be lots of I'm expecting lots of stacked everything.

Rubi: So what? I'm just gonna cheat. I I got a question too, and it's my question. What if you screw up or misclick? Is there a chance of clicking and placing one over? Oh gosh, I just place the statue. Of the other. State. Am I just? Screwed more crass about that?

Jesse: Well, you can take them. You can't play things like pieces too close to each other. They can't get on top or on the side, and once you misplace something, you want to bring it back. There's a handy way to just. Remove it and replace it again.

Seth: You can. So you can also pro tip, you can also stack something at any way. So the thing you stacked it. On carefully so it doesn't.

Jesse: Why you're giving away the secrets?

Seth: Waste one time.

Rubi: All right, reset from the Internet is now gone from. The Internet? Are we saying it's softly?

Dara: Enough they didn't hear. I seriously got that. You've got a. All right.

Seth: Yeah, yeah. This one makes that's probably the best. So cost mega sofa guilds will both NA and EU members get the experience? Of claiming a Guild. OK, So what this is actually talking about data center guilds, which are an interesting thing. You cannot be in the same map as someone who's on a different data center. So for the bill is guilt. Kennedy shared across data centers and things like what apps you have and what are shared. Across data centers. However, when you enter the Guild hall map and so an easy person enter the Guild hall and a person. Those are separate maps, OK? And you will never see the people from the other data center. In that map.

Rubi: Why can't data centers? Alright, so if a in a player comes in, you've got when any player and then five EU players go into the do. You get the.

Seth: Message that says, hey, there's the scaling. Also is very carefully made to be specific to data center. So yeah, so. You can have a party of 200 going on NA and in EU1 percentages skill that's going to be the scale because the the tracking of of what size of an instance has been up for you.

Rubi: OK, is data center specific? OK, that's just how they work. All right. And we are running out of time. We were trying not to go too long here, but I don't want to starve to death. While you sit. Here forever. I was fun. Well, we have more. We have.

Jesse: We'll show off like we been working on.

Rubi: Yeah, it's nice. Right, right. So we can do another weekday tomorrow and then another on Friday, and then I'm gonna go. In the fold down. Alright, so yeah, we'll have more good week tomorrow on Guild chat, but for now, thank you guys so so much because this was a lot of information and I'm probably gonna some of these questions again later because I'll forget it was just a lot. So thank you guys and thank all of you for watching and we will see you tomorrow on episode. What is it like so three of Guild chat for? Guild week. Bye guys.
