Epic Games Store

Epic Games Store is a video game distribution platform which ArenaNet has partnered with for the distribution of Guild Wars 2. The game was first purchasable through Epic Games Store on November 13, 2024.

Release

• Guild Wars 2 launched on Epic Games Store on November 13, 2024.
• Epic Games players are able to experience the core Guild Wars 2 game for free (with the same restrictions applied to free accounts created on GuildWars2.com), with options to upgrade to:
  • Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns and Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire — the first and second expansions, bundled together
  • Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons — the third expansion
  • Guild Wars 2: Elder Dragon Saga—Complete Collection — includes the first three expansions and Living World Seasons 2 through 5 (Living World Season 1 is free for everyone).
  • Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure — the fourth expansion
  • Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds — the fifth expansion

Accounts purchased through Epic Games Store

Restrictions which apply to Epic Games accounts:

• Only accounts created via Epic Games Store can be used to log in to the game via Epic Games. Accounts created through the Guild Wars 2 website cannot be transferred there.
• Gem codes can be added to an Epic Games account in game or on the website.
• Expansion game codes cannot be added to an Epic Games account. Expansions must be purchased via Epic Games Store.
• Deluxe and Ultimate editions of expansions are not available on Epic Games. Epic Games does not offer any collections containing gems.
  • The "Deluxe Upgrade" package for each expansion can be bought in-game on the Gem Store. It is only available to players who have purchased the standard version of the corresponding expansion pack.
• A Guild Wars account cannot be linked to a Guild Wars 2 Epic Games account. However, a Guild Wars account created via Steam can be linked to an ArenaNet Guild Wars 2 account.
