Walkthrough[edit]
Reaching the goggles[edit]
At night[edit]
Reaching the goggles is much easier at night. Take the chopper up from Pact Encampment Waypoint — . From the platform glide north to Matriarch's Perch — and then glide west to a bouncing mushroom which will take you to the goggles.
During the day[edit]
Alternatively by day the goggles can be reached by going west from Shrouded Ruins Waypoint — . Head up the stairs to Dust Dancer Plateau — and use the bouncing mushroom. From there climb the vine until you reach a platform with another bouncing mushroom. Head north through the airship where another bouncing mushroom awaits.
During the day (Springer method)[edit]
- Start at the Shrouded Ruins Waypoint — in the Shrouded Ruins. Just start on your springer here, it's easiest
- Head west and up the stairs to Dust Dancer Plateau — . You can skip the first bouncing mushroom if you have high jumping on the Springer, you can jump directly to the upper plateau.
- Stay on the springer until you get to the "second" bouncing mushroom (You'll want to move fast on the island as there are minor electric wyverns there, fight or dodge 'em). Use the mushroom.
- Move into the airship -- move to where you can see the bouncing mushroom across the ship. You can glide over to it rather than work around. Use the mushroom.
- This will vault you to the next ship. The goggles are at the smaller circular feature a bit upwards of where you landed.
Diving[edit]
When falling make sure you are above the east part of the Outpost map icon to not hit a tree branch.
The tricky part about this one is that you're diving into a very small hole, so you're likely to miss it if you don't hit it just right. Realize the place you want is right where the "temple" (Outpost) icon is. Another thing is that you can move a bit when diving, and you will need to do this, as there's a bit of jagged metal right over the spot you need to be in, so you have to dive just short of the temple (Outpost), and, facing it, use your forwards key until you are right on top of it. If you're anywhere off, you'll make a thud or hit a nearby branch and die.
