- The Eye of Argon was a unique shield dropped by Corporal Argon in Guild Wars: Nightfall. Corporal Argon was awakened by Palawa Joko and later both he and his shield became Branded.
- Its namesake likely comes from a short story written by Jim Theis and published in 1970. It is notorious for its poor writing.
