Walkthrough

• Start the event by talking to Ekto west of the Third Bloodtree.
• Use the Heart of the Obscure to interact with orbs of Paranormal Activity. This will spawn either a hostile spirit or a friendly animal spirit.
  • If it is friendly, one random spirit will be spawned. These can be a Barred Owl, a Cat, a Raccoon, or a Rat. Ignore them and interact with the next Paranormal Activity.
  • If it is hostile, two random spirits will be spawned. These can be Angered Spirits, Deranged Spirits, or Enraged Spirits. Simply defeat them to progress the event.

Ekto: The tingle in my ears. The shivers down my spine. The chill on my breath. It's all unmistakable. There are ghosts afoot!

Ekto: Unfortunately, my equipment can broadly detect their presence, but it can't draw them out...

Ekto: That's where you come in, Wayfinder. I posit that your Heart of the Obscure may be just the thing we need!

Ekto: Scan around for any suspicious activitiy, will you? For science!

Ekto: Alchemy, that startled me!

Ekto: Jackpot! I mean....Er, watch out!

Ekto: Ah, go on. Shoo!

Ekto: My readings are fading. We must hurry!

Ekto: Not only was my equipment's efficacy proven, but we also exorcised a few spiteful spirits.

Ekto: That's a resounding succes, in my book! Now the fun part: data analysis!

Ekto: Gah! All activity has dissipated. They got away...

Ekto: Ah, well. Time to analyze my findings. Not all is lost. I'm seeing human, kodan, charr, and mursaat readings. Oof.

Ekto: Janthir is full of secrets and mysteries, but very few have this sort of access. Not the most...hospitable place.
