- The VOED makes an appearance during Cathedral of Silence.
- Magister Tassi's dialogue and the flavor text for the Candy-Powered Matter Meter and Candy-Powered Matter Meter Mk2 suggests that she stole the blueprints for the VOED from the College of Statics archives around or before the events of Shadow of the Mad King 2012.
