Default key[edit]

There's a problem here. It's always the key in the upper-left corner of the keyboard, but that key is a different character on different keyboard layouts, as can be seen here. On QWERTY, it's `, on German QWERTZ it's ^, and on French AZERTY it's... a subscript 2? o.O We need to be conscious of these differences in the article. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:36, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

And on Nordic keyboards it's §. ;) I just edited it to describe the location little further than just the key character. Better? Mediggo 18:42, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, something like that is what I was thinking of. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:46, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Strange wording[edit]

"Out of fight, players can swap, rearrange or equip entirely different weapons their weapon sets at any time."

Huh? Gnarf 20:33, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Well, aside from typo, it's essentially about changing equipped weapons altogether. Might be pretty crucial in PvP when weapon find out about some haxxor uses for "multiple" weapon sets. I could see especially engineers and elementalists resorting to that. Fixed the typo now. If the wording still doesn't make sense, please improve. :) Mediggo 21:18, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Shared Skill Cooldowns?[edit]

Say you have two different swords(one hand swords) in each of the main hand slots for your weapon sets. You use your 2nd skill and then swap weapons. Will the 2nd skill be in cooldown since it is still a sword or will it not be in cooldown since you are swapping to another weapon set(and different sword)? --Fey Zeal Fey Zeal 06:56, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

That's something I'm also wondering about. Forgot to try it, sadly. --Zombyrad 10:30, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I did test this (unintentionally) - recharge is per-skill. Swapping to a weapon set with the same weapon types will not "reset" the recharge on the skills. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:56, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
That's what I thought it would be but I was hoping they would have had the separate timers. Thanks for confirming this Dr. --Fey Zeal Fey Zeal 01:09, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Swap Sigils and Engineer[edit]

Do Engineer's trigger Weapon swap sigils (Like Sigil of Superior Energy) when swapping from kits to their main set? I have tried to test this and it appears as though they do not work. Haseo 01:04, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

I was told on the forums yesterday that this works after the last patch. I haven't had time to log on and test it though. Can anyone confirm this? BigfootJ 16:08, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

Swap Sigils and Elementalist[edit]

Currently on the wiki page it says elementalists can trigger this sigil by changing attunement. I just tried a major sigil of battle and it does not appear to trigger when I am changing attunement.

This does work and has for some time. You have to be in combat for this effect to trigger. BigfootJ 16:09, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
What about the Rune of the Warrior #6 effect? Does this reduce elementalist attunement swap cooldown by 1 second? Anyone know? --107.205.250.41 23:25, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
No, that is only for the weapon swap game mechanic--Relyk ~ talk > 23:28, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

Do firebrand tomes proc weapon swap sigil effects?[edit]

Does Rune of the Warrior buff the tome cooldowns too? --175.156.243.239 14:38, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

Feedback 2018/12/19[edit]

Hey, can someone fix the sigil text here. Its out of date because of the sigil/rune rework. --71.255.254.215 20:12, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

Elite skills trigger effects?[edit]

Nice list of what can trigger weapon swap effects. Anyone know if using an elite skill that changes the form of the character (Norn innates like Become the Bear, etc.; Necromancer elites like Reaper of Grenth or Plague before it was nerfed into Plaguelands, etc.; the Elementalist skill Tornado) triggers the weapon swap effect? These behave much like bundles, replacing the bar with different skills. 73.86.190.154 14:33, 22 November 2019 (UTC)

Bundle skills definitely do trigger weapon swap sigils. However I don't believe transform skills trigger it. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 18:33, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
