Talk:Underground Facility Fractal

Got an achievement in this fractal, Carrier Cacophony. Description in game reads "You made it through Rabsovich's onslaught without dying while in the Underground Facility fractal." Being that I did die prior to the Champion Rabsovich encounter then this must apply to the encounter beginning after opening the large door leading to him. I did not get downed or defeated once the door was opened, though I do not think downed would equate to dying. Someone else should verify the above before it gets added to this page. 108.192.149.28 18:20, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

The article contradicts itself at "Mesmer: If there is a mesmer in the party, the Feedback ability is of particular use in this fight. If timed properly, it will reflect the cluster bombs back onto the mining suit, not only protecting the party from this most deadly of attacks, but resulting in massive damage to itself, speeding up the fight immensely." - later it says "When fighting the Powersuit reflection skills can bounce the bombs back at it, however the reflected bombs deal no damage to the Powersuit." --80.109.93.101 23:34, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Dying on the plates no longer works.

New bomb hallway: The objective is still to bring bombs near the door but the method completely changed and you need now to bring 9 bombs near the door. Two new elements are now between you and your objective: anti-intrusion area and detecting armors. Anti-intrusion area will hurt and stun you if you are not under the dust furtivity boost. Detecting armor will remove the dust furtivity boost and prevent you to get a new one for a few seconds The method is quite simple: get a bomb (on the right of the hallway), avoid red cicles of the detecting armors, go under the furtivity dust and run up the hallway to the pipe to place your bomb (with F key). There is a dust dispenser on the right of the door to help you return get another bomb. Take note that the number of detecting armors increases with the number of bombs placed in the pipe Once 9 bombs has been placed in the pipe, the detonator on the right of the door can be activated (F key) to blow open the door and provide access to the next room.

Hope this will help and excuse my poor english, it is not my mother language 77.242.202.231 15:37, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

Boss[edit]

Does the dredge powersuit appear as the boss anymore? I don't this fractal _that_ often, but it's _always_ the "alternative" boss ice elemental as the finale over the last few months --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 20:57, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

I get the dredge suit more often than the ice elemental. I think it's determined by level but that's largely just gut feeling. But if you do the same level(s) over and over then that may be it. Konig 21:58, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

Feedback 2016/06/29[edit]

I removed Level 76 from the list as that's the Aquatic Ruins fractal. --198.84.237.21 17:41, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Which path does the "Stealth Bombers" achievement refer to?[edit]

Does it refer to "Second Room (to the right)" or "Alternate Second Room (to the left)"?
Also, is there a way to choose which of the 2 paths you want to take? --175.142.112.239 19:13, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

"Second Room (to the right)"
To my knowledge there is no specific way to choose which path is taken. As far as I know it is either randomized, or it may actually be dependent on Scale. (This is completely confirmation-bias and not investigated, but I feel like I hit the Right stealth-bomb path a lot in Tier 2, and hit the Left mining-laser path a lot in Tier 1.) The Notes section (and the Game Update it links to) claims that it used to depend on Scale but is now Random. PaladinOne (talk) 19:45, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

What exactly are the requirements for the Stealth Bombers achievement?[edit]

1. Must all party members run at least 1 bomb to the door without being detected?
2. If not, then can just 1 person carry the team to the achievement as long as the other 4 stay far behind so that they don't get detected?
3. If this is the case, then in theory it's easier to solo the achievement. But how do you get past the first part of the fractal (pressure plates) without any party members? --175.141.202.51 17:22, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

1 person can carry the team. It takes a long time to run all the bombs with only one person though. You cannot get past the first part of the fractal with less than 3 party members. My advice if you're struggling with this is to get a group at a low level and try to keep rolling for the bomb path. Then, ask party members that aren't confident to just wait. It really is a practice makes perfect situation, and having a static group of friends to run fractals with is the typical way of getting this achievement.
Other tips:
  • There are 2 stealth stacking pipes. One at the end and one at the beginning. Make sure to hit both.
  • Having perma swiftness makes this a lot easier.
  • If you know you won't have time to carry the bomb because of how the dredge have moved, head back and drop it.--Rain Spell (talk) 20:08, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

4. Is it a group-based achievement? Meaning that if one or more party members are detected, the entire party is disqualified from the achievement? --Messenger (talk) 11:53, 19 September 2019 (UTC) Yes it is a group-based achievement. No one is allowed to be detected (including being detected whilst not carrying a bomb).

Is this achievement currently bugged? I tried this with a premade group and we definitely did not get caught by the turrets or the dredge armors, however we did not get the achievement. --109.250.181.73 22:17, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Second Room Table[edit]

Would it be possible to create a table that shows which path (left or right) is of the current day similar to the table for which path is taken for Aquatic Ruins Fractal? Siren (talk) 00:41, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
