Use Older Photo Revision

on my User:Siren page, I like to keep a gallery of the images I've contributed to this wiki. A couple images I've provided have been replaced with better versions but I would still like to have my image displayed on my page. Is there any way I can link to an older revision of a file? Unfortunately you can only link to the revision as shown on the file page, you can't display that file (counts as an external file) -Chieftain Alex 16:33, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

Kind of what I figured. Pretty sure I know the answer to this question but; is there any solution I could do besides removing the link or reuploading the image under an alternate name just for use on my page? Siren (talk) 04:33, 3 September 2023 (UTC)

You guessed it - it is not supported by MediaWiki. Are you aware that you can use Special:Contributions/Siren (also available in the side bar and the top nav) and can then filter by namespace (e.g. File). You don't have to manually track your contributions. Side note: While we probably won't prevent you from reuploading older file versions for your page - I have to say I am not a fan of duplicating files in this way. Maybe you can think of another solution that satisfies you like a local folder on your PC? —Kvothe (talk) 08:28, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
