Talk:Troll's End
This jumping puzzle sucks to do if you have a large toon. Charr / Norn will have a much more difficult time of completing it. I have attempted it multiple times on my charr (max size) and it is almost impossible to see some of the areas where one needs to jump to. I wish Anet would have thought of these things or at least introduce some size reduction potion for the large races for use with the tight jump puzzles. - RedTide
- Yea its no fun on biggest Norn possible. I'm not even going to bother on him, I'll send a lowbie through it rather than hurt my eyes. It wouldn't be so bad if you could go first person even. Twinkletoes 08:31, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
- To all of the above comments: the wiki is not the official forum, so please post your personal findings there, instead of on this page which is reserved for the discussion on the revisions for the article, not its subject. - Infinite - talk 10:59, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
- They are discussing the solution to the puzzle, which is entirely appropriate to this talk page. Their tips are: (1) Don't use Charr/Norn, since they make it hard to see. and (2) You can skip part of it. Besides, it's only three comments and they are more on-topic than telling people to post elsewhere. 75.37.20.209 04:09, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
Note vs. Trivia[edit]
Is the shortcut mentioned as a note now obsolete with the update mentioned in the trivia? Lysander 05:06, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- There used to be three shortcuts to this JP. Now there are two. Of the two remaining, both can be managed by jumping alone (although speed boosts will help) and at least one can be done using a leap (not sure about the other) and the engineer skill mentioned would count as way to do this.
- The current phrasing for the note and the trivia bullets makes it hard to tell what is being discussed. However, I can't imagine using a leap for the removed shortcut, but since it's no longer in the game, it probably doesn't matter. 75.37.20.148 05:11, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
Vote[edit]
I'm calling for votes on having this puzzle eased up. Either give a closer waypoint - or faster path to start of puzzle, else dim the light. And maybe give more headroom for us Charr to jump the posts for the ONE time we actually live the fall down the light well.
- ArenaNet doesn't read the wiki. You should post this on the forums instead. —Dr Ishmael 13:02, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
That Tricky Post Jump[edit]
There is one of the jumps that, until today, I would always fall from. It's the one that - if you miss it - drops you just before the turn for the green wall. The trick here is NOT to be at tip of post b4 you jump (unlike all the other post jumps). BE about a full step back (half an orrian dagger) and you wont hit your head and be bumped down. I really wish they had fixed this problem, for it causes an issue even for Asura - I can't imagine doing it on a Charr would be any easier :P.
current access[edit]
Is it even possible to get into this puzzle anymore? Jumping down from the same spot, you land on the well, but it's been grown over or something and you don't fall into water. Vili 点 22:39, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, had to get to the well via a different route but once I was on top of it, the puzzle is the same as before from there, just did it for the monthly.

- It is possible of course, just finished it. And there is still shortcut (I used Asura engineer) bypassing most of third stage.90.191.123.141 12:30, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
- A little more detail on how to find the entrance to this would be helpful, as would a current map of ruined Lions Arch, perhaps? Falling from the Vista seem lethal. Rizenfell (talk) 01:40, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
All is well that ends well[edit]
Seems the well is gone. Removal of puzzle or just relocated? -Chieftain Alex 16:39, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- There's a new achievement (and jumping puzzle I assume) called Troll's Revenge, so we'll see. —Ventriloquist 17:13, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- This one is retired and now found under Historical Achievements. -Chieftain Alex 17:51, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- Should this be replace in the various NAV boxes with the new puzzle Troll's Revenge ? --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 08:58, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
