Bug with queries[edit]

The comma in the page title has some unintended behaviour in some templates, like vendor item table row. Tyndel (talk) 12:58, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Fixed. This is addressed in a couple places, but lots of templates still don't parse areas with commas correctly :/--Relyk ~ talk < 13:02, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
Noticed it again with adventure infobox. Tyndel (talk) 17:58, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Interact-able Objects[edit]

I didn't see a place on the main page for this, but maybe someone knows where it goes:

6 "We do not have the divine resources needed to imbue a new Bloodstone with enough magic to prevent Tyria from declining into a state of primitive adversity."

=> "Read on."

X "Leave."

"And so we allied with Glaust, a magical being of great power, to find a way."

X "Leave." Cboyd (talk) 18:15, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Documented already at A Study in Gold, which requires interacting with those and many like those. Konig 06:22, 19 November 2015 (UTC)

"Tarir, the Forgotten City"[edit]

From the API ([1]) and the minimap, the proper name is "Tarir, the Forgotten City" (much like "Azabe Qabar, the Royal Tombs"). Main map shows "Tarir\nThe Forgotten City" due to multiple lines, whereas "Azabe Qabar, the Royal Tombs" is a single line. As a sidenote, the minimap takes its names from the API ("Commodore's Quarters" is actually "Canal Ward" [2]). --BryghtShadow (talk) 13:46, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

Stub?[edit]

Any specific reason why this is still labelled stub? I've not touched this much so I won't remove it myself, but it might be worth clarifying what is missing if this is still considered a stub. -Darqam (talk) 23:13, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

I've noticed several pages that had a stub tag were either labeled as such because nobody had bothered to remove it even though everything was there or just weren't specific (example: missing NPCs, dialogue but had a generic stub tag). My guess is this is the case here, as it looks quite complete to me, other than it's missing a certain chicken which I'll add now. If all else fails, just hang out in the area to see if anythings missing for a while, and if everything is there, I'd remove it. - Doodleplex 23:19, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

Trivia - dry out, dwindle[edit]

I would like to annotate that to dry out ["se tarir"] can be interpreted within the meaning of "to drain a Spring"; or apart from that in a figurative sense «to peter out» in the context of inspiration/ fortune. — But my original intention was to venture to suggest [also in reference to Ascalon's Trivia or the above-mentioned Azabe Qabar], that its possible 'accepted' spelling could be «Tahrir», a word of Arabic origin and nearly the opposite meaning — liberation. ☺ --SaxxonSaxxon 11:11, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguate octovine events?[edit]

The Events list displays four identical title Slay the Octovine events that you have to hover to see which is which (northgate, southgate, etc.). I feel it would be more useful if they were disambiguated already on this page (similar to how they appear on the Slay the octovine! disambiguation page) to make it a bit easier to get directly to a desired event. However, it appears the event list is being generated from a query and I don't know how to update the data or whether it would be acceptable to replace the query with a hard-coded disambiguated list. So, posting this in case someone with more wiki knowledge could consider it. --Mayhap (talk) 18:51, 19 August 2016 (UTC)

It looks like the template {{area events}} is pulling the canonical name from the individual event pages, | name = Slay the octovine!. If changes were to be made, it would likely be at the template level, perhaps with a parameter to allow for non-canonical names to be used. (e.g. {{area events|canonical names = n}}). Semi-Accessible Locations[edit]

Might I suggest something be done to make locations which are only semi-accessible (for example, you need Exalted Mastery to access it, or a Springer Mount) in some way look different from other locations? Perhaps list them in italics or something like that? It would help a lot if you could know you had to read about it to get to it.

I agree that in those cases the condition should be immediately visible on the page (latest example, the new areas in Gyala), but I am not sure about making them "look different from other locations". ~Sime 14:10, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
