Talk:Pile of Lucent Crystal

From Guild Wars 2 Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

Scribe formula for the Minor Sigil of Transference is 1x Pile of Lucent Crystal, 1x Evergreen Lodestone, 1x Symbol of Control, and 1x Simple Finishing Kit

I expect this will scale up to exotic levels with similar formulas, using more mats and probably Ectos.

Also, Mordrem Lodestone and Freshwater Pearls are in the discovery box. Pfft, very expensive testing.

How does the new crafting system work?[edit]

I thought they made all runes and sigil craftable, but many runes now have a similar note of acquisition like this one on Superior Rune of the Forgeman: "A possible output when combining 10 Piles of Lucent Crystal, a Charm of Brilliance, a Charm of Potence, and a Charm of Skill."

I guess this means combining them in the Mystic Forge. Do we know how many possible outcomes various combinations have? I guess that would tell us the chances of getting the desired rune. Still it's a bit of a bummer if there's no reliable way to craft them :/ -- kazerniel (talk) 13:28, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

I think all of the runes either have a current recipe or can be salvaged off loot or can be bought from dungeons reliably. I think the recipe is just a new version of the old MF combine 4 runes thing. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 17:13, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
I see. I was hoping for a crafting method that didn't require dungeon tokens, but I can see why ANet would want to avoid that (people would have even less reason to play dungeons). -- kazerniel (talk) 11:49, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

Enhanced Lucent Oil and Potent Lucent Oil[edit]

I think it's nice to have Enhanced Lucent Oil and Potent Lucent Oil on the main page and not only hidden in the subpage /Huntsman. It's pretty obivious that runes and sigils require Pile of Lucent Crystal based on the ingame description. However, the usage for utility items isn't clear at all and should be visible at first sight. Hence, in my opinion it should be stated on the main page, maybe with the subsection header Huntsman (additional non-sigil recipes). --Tolkyria (talk) 09:43, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

Sounds good, kinda implemented. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 12:59, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, looks nicely structed now. --Tolkyria (talk) 13:53, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

Mystic forge recipes[edit]

Any idea why we added the Mystic forge recipes section back in February 15, 2020? I'm aware that Rune and Sigil list mystic forge recipes but these two are smw-disabled with "status = historical" so the won't appear here anyways. --Tolkyria (talk) 11:58, 18 November 2021 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that that was because of those very recipes from the time where they were on the Mystic Aspect (+|-) and Mystic Mote (+|-) pages. Nightsky (talk) 17:25, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
Sounds reasonable, I'll remove the section, thanks! --Tolkyria (talk) 17:42, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
