- Good news is Hyenas are returning. Bad news [for now] is its unconfirmed as a tameable pet. However, Ogre's have them as pets. Since heket had crocodiles as pets and various bosses also had charmable pets, i bet Hyenas will also return as a charmable animal companion. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.237.138.38 (talk).

- Not exactly felines, but part of same suborder, yes. However, from a Tyrian's point of view they definitely appear dog-like and thus fit the category. This is a fantasy world, after all. ;) Mediggo 18:24, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- Not even sub Order, Hyenas are their own species, Canine=Canidae, Feline=Felidae, Bear=Ursidae, Weasels/Wolverines/Badgers=Mustilid, Hyena=Hyeanidae, i could go on but, meh, go to skullsunlimited.com or do a google search or watch animal planet, how ever, hyena's have more DNA characteristics of feline when compared to a canine, but are not even close to subspecies of felines--VanderBeltLegacy 09:52, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Low Power Stats[edit]
Anyone know why exactly do Hyenas have such low power? Definitely the lowest out of all the canine pets and one of if not the lowest of all pets in general. I'm a bit confused... --Ying xiong 07:23, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- I was also thinking the same. Only reason I can think of is that a second Hyena can be summoned and their combined power would be about the same as other canines.
