Important details needed[edit]

If the Garden Plot Deed has been unlocked by the account, but the Black Lion Garden Plot Deed has never been purchased before, will this 1 existing plot be allowed to plant the plants from the gemstore plot (including plants for primers)? --202.190.127.48 23:07, 28 August 2019 (UTC)

No, because there's no way to access the seeds for the gemstore version of the plot without having purchased one. —Idris User Idris signature.png 23:20, 28 August 2019 (UTC)

"Initially comes with four Growing Crops"?[edit]

Mine didn't. It spawned with four Open Soil and I had to plant my own crops. —Idris User Idris signature.png 13:33, 29 August 2019 (UTC)

Neither did mine. I had to craft the seed pouches and plant my own. Removed the note. - Ojimaru (talk) 13:45, 29 August 2019 (UTC)
Mine came with 4 Growing Crops nodes. What nodes will they become next daily reset? It's unclear since I didn't have to plant anything. --202.190.127.48 03:22, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
That's interesting. Did you have a Black Lion Garden Plot Deed before unlocking the chef garden? (I didn't.) Please update us after reset to let us know what they grew into! —Idris User Idris signature.png 10:39, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
I don't own any Black Lion Garden Plots at all. Anyway, I just checked at reset, and my 4 Growing Crops objects have become 4 Open Soil objects. So it's very likely a bug when I saw 4 Growing Crops yesterday. --202.190.127.48 00:08, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for the info! I'll add a bug note to the article. —Idris User Idris signature.png 02:41, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
My 4 Growing Crops were result of lacking BL deed. I replaced them with varietal plants so I couldn't check what the crops turned into. --BryghtShadow (talk) 10:07, 1 September 2019 (UTC)

Design or Bug?[edit]

How do we know if the "Varietal crops must be replanted after every harvest." is intended as a gate for ascended crafting or a bug? Seems to me it is a bug as a more likely way of gating for ascended crafting would be to put a countdown timer on the seed pouches as we have with other gated crafting items. Is there a source for this information? --Seth Moonshadow (talk) 19:43, 3 September 2019 (UTC)

We don't know for sure whether or not its a bug, but given that ANet haven't put any timegating on any of the items required to craft ascended food, it doesn't seem unreasonable to assume that this is intended to be the timegate. Note that the article isn't making assumptions either way; it's simply documenting the behavior, which can easily be sourced by harvesting some for yourself. —Idris User Idris signature.png 19:57, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
Agreed, and I have. I just think it's a little clunky and not in line with existing methods. Thanks --Seth Moonshadow (talk) 20:31, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
