Talk:Embroidered Coin Purse

Spent a bunch of time combining this version of the page with the exotic article, to try and match the format of other champ bags. I think it makes more sense to have one page for each type of champ bag, with subheadings for the different drops by rarity. Sscripko (talk) 14:53, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

Very very rare drops[edit]

It would seem from this collection of results of opening 15k of these bags that there are two lists of exotic weapons that can supply drops. One is accessed far more often and includes:

The other is accessed 1/6 as often and includes at least the following:

Well, it's nothing new. The first list is from the champion bags and the other list are weapons which could drop everywhere since launch. Bags, Chests, Enemies, Mystic Forge ... the usual exotic stuff. For me it's interesting, what item is this one with the chest icon between the karma potion and the luck items?--79.201.217.222 19:00, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
Most likely Coalforge's Weapon Chest or some ascended chest of similar nature. Shares the same icon too, but reused icons is normal. --Vaught (talk) 19:04, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
Yeah that's an ascended chest, very rare drop replacing bloodstone dust. And the 'very rare' exotics are standard exotics which replace the piece of masterwork gear sometimes. The unique exotics in contrast are an additional drop. Tyndel (talk) 19:08, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
I've found a Magmaton after ~750 purses. Thought i should share that. 20:29, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

Feedback 2015/08/18[edit]

Could we please add the info that the outcome of these purses are changed depending on which level the char opening it is?

For example not being able to get precursors or any of the non-bag specific exotics after dropping to certain level or below etc. --83.66.118.221 02:13, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

It's there, "Random piece of equipment of your character's level with Masterwork rarity or above." One of the problems of conveying a lot of information is that it's not easy to tailor it to everyone's need. Where else should it be placed? G R E E N E R 03:10, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
What if we simply reformat it to better emphasize this point:
  • Random piece of Masterwork or better equipment.
    • The equipment will be the same level as the character opening the container.
    • ...

That would work nicely for the lower types of bags, but the first section showing the named exotics is a tad strange. Putting the extra bullet as a separate line prior to "Chance at one of the following:" seems to imply that you can get those at your level. Then again, I'm looking at this situation through eyes that already understands what it's supposed to mean. G R E E N E R 06:40, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
If we're talking QOL changes on champion bag pages, it wouldn't hurt to add "unique weapons" or a similar term before the listing of named weapons, as users often think it's referring to any exotic, and not the ones specific to the bag. —Ventriloquist 21:43, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

1 bag open: 1 silver 12 copper, 8 piles of bloodstone dust, 7 vials of potent blood, 1 green equipment. (lv 80, 155MF) Riika Chi (talk) 04:20, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
