I just saw this page, and it made me think of this instantly. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that was the inspiration for the item. - Doodleplex 02:21, 11 July 2018 (UTC)

"Thank you for your interest, but this Website does not allow access from your Country or specific IP address." wow. Sime (talk) 14:53, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
Uh ew. I'm gonna guess that they don't ship to EU? Here's wikipedia's article about it. - Doodleplex 04:47, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
Well, one thing is not to ship somewhere, and second thing is to block access to their website all together. Never happened to me with any other site before :( Sime (talk) 16:26, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
I've heard of some Youtube videos not being allowed to be seen if you're in certain countries, but I've never heard of whole websites; that's just crazy. Anyway, were you able to read the wiki page or was that blocked too? 0.o - Doodleplex 22:11, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, wiki works fine (and now I am hungry). It could very well be a reference to it, though pity I couldn't find any of their products that resembles the icon to really confirm it. Sime (talk) 22:16, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
The icon isn't new, it's used for at least two other items atm. I was trying to see if the flavor text I could find somewhere but only made myself hungry so I stopped looking. XD - Doodleplex 22:22, 12 July 2018 (UTC)

Possible upper limit or bugged?[edit]

The page currently says that "If at least one healthy crop was burned, you can only buy 1." - this implies that even if you burned ALL the crops, you can still buy 1 no matter what. The problem I just came across is that two people who did story together and both received Debbie's letter with the first cake, and both consumed, just did the heart together. Only I was able to buy cakes (3). The other person accidentally burned 3-4 healthy crops and was unable to buy any cakes at all. Either the achievement is bugged for him, or perhaps there is an upper limit to how many healthy crops you are allowed to burn in order to still be offered 1 cake? If neither is the case then we could definitely do with more information on this achievement and how to go about it (currently there is no info on this page or the achievement category page). Could anyone that still needs this help test if there's a limit? We'll try again tomorrow too. EDIT: Apparently Dulfy's guide states that for each healthy crop you burn, the maximum number of cakes you can buy decreases by 1 for that day. 81.170.253.20 12:50, 22 August 2018 (UTC)

So someone told me I could check this myself by relogging to alts, and my results conclude that both the wiki and Dulfy are slightly incorrect. Burning 0 healthy crops allows you to buy 3 cakes. Burning 1-2 healthy crops drops the number to 1 cake (so it's not dropped by 1 per crop as Dulfy states), and burning 3 or more healthy crops drops this to 0 cakes (so there is an upper limit unlike what the wiki said). I'll edit to reflect. 81.170.253.20 13:32, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for your research :) —Ventriloquist 13:57, 22 August 2018 (UTC)

Feedback 2018/09/07[edit]

I don't see this mail documented anywhere. Although not sure if it should go on this page, or the page for the heart.

Also, the first day, I burned all the crops, which might explain the "didn't have an flour" part, so this mail might change if you actually did the heart correctly.

Did a bit of Googling before I posted this, and it looks like the mail does change if you do it correctly. https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/8yl7on/this_is_the_cutest_thing/

Thanks

My mom said that you had to burn our crops to kill bugs and that you saved us. My friends and I made cakes and tea to celebrate and we saved you one. It's kind of imaginary because we didn't have any flour, but if you close your eyes it tastes delicious!

Thank you,
Debbie

P.S. Mom says that mail is expensive but that I can send you appreciation cakes anytime by giving them to Clanmarshal Sana. Check with her and get free cakes.

As far as I can tell, this is actually a mission reward, and it changes according to how many healthy crops you spare during "Guns, Germs, and Steal". I'll add it to the mission article -- thanks for documenting it! —Idris User Idris signature.png 07:00, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
