Compiling Daily Kill Variety list.

A single row in Yellow column = one kill count

Unconfirmed:

• All fish count as one kill
• Crabs are in their own category, including whites.
• Basilisks are not their own category; possibly with drakes.
• Marmox category unconfirmed

Kill variety is based on the species, see Guild Wars 2 Wiki talk:NPC formatting#Documenting Species and their category. konig has done a lot of categorizing for enemies already based on daily kill variety and slayer achievements.--Relyk 01:02, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Underworld creatures, such as Shades and Aatxe, do not count for types. I discovered this at Daily reset. I now have started my accumulation for Daily Kills, but Daily Kill Variety has not reset yet. Killing a Grub next. Yup, DKV has reset. Adeira Tasharo 00:11, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

@Adeira: Actually, the underworld creatures in Godslost Swamp do count for daily - however, those in Reaper's Gate, oddly, do not. Konig/talk 03:31, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Feb. 26 Update has "white" in its own category

I was going to edit this section but I'm only 90% sure. I kinda ignored it when I was doing my daily that day, but I remember seing that my counter didn't count white anymore after the update for kill variety, nor aquatic. Can someone confirm this? or I'm just mistaken. --Sir Vincent III 16:58, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

That's correct - whites now only count for "Ambient Killer" and no longer count for any other kill achievement. —Dr Ishmael 20:30, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Funny, they're still counting for variety for me - though oddly, certain white creatures are counting as different varieties now (and sharing with non-whites - e.g., armadillo counted but then marmox didn't in Blazeridge Steppes). Konig 20:47, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I've noticed that as well now - they've split out all "critters" from one collective type to more logical non-critter creature types. —Dr Ishmael 20:58, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

I maxed shell slayer with a white crab, which also incremented ambient. Rabbit counted as variety for today.75.36.178.170 00:06, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Only white one-shot critters count for ambient; yellow ones count for the standard killer/slayer achievements. Back in March, I had noticed that these same critters were adding to kill variety as if they were standard foes (see previous section); before that nearly all critters had the same creature type (I think crabs counted as shell-type). —Dr Ishmael 03:34, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
